Sunwashed Grave Duo

Happy Tuesday! I’ve got a few things in the works right now, and I’m hoping to have a post or 2 up almost every day this week to keep up with everything. I spent the weekend swatching away … but there’s still more to be done! Today we’ll be looking at the Ethereal Lacquer & Baroness X Sunwashed Grave Duo!

There are kind of 2 parts to this duo. We have the polish duo, which you’re about to feast your eyes on, and there’s also a wax duo since both brands also have wax brands. While I do not have the Fox Fire Wax & Bath Co x Moonbow Wax portion of the duo to share – you can bet your patootie that I’ll be picking them up. I’ll give descriptions of them at the bottom of the post.

Okay – so the Ethereal Lacquer & Baroness X Sunwashed Grave Duo… both makers brought their A game. Ethereal has a flakey shimmery creation and Baroness X made me work for those photos. I had to time the swatching right since it’s a tri-thermal glow in the dark. So the temperature had to be right, and it had to be dark enough for the glowy shots.

Ethereal Lacquer | Soleil Sinistre

Soleil Sinistre is a sheer smokey mauve jelly base loaded with red to gold shifting shimmer, as well as red to gold iridescent color shifting flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade is sheer enough to layer it if you prefer as well.

Baroness X | Immortal Glow (Tri-Thermal & GITD)

Immortal Glow is a purple (cold) to blue (warm) to light blue (hot) with blue to purple shifting shimmer, orange to gold to green shifting iridescent flecks and it glows a vibrant indigo in the dark. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer & Baroness X | Sunwashed Grave Duo

This is a beautiful duo with 2 stunning and very different shades within it. I had no application issues with either shade.

For the wax duo, the scents available will be:

Moonbow Wax – Sinistre – a dark navy tinted melt brushed with a red, gold to green shimmer, 2oz break apart bar ($6)
Fragrance notes – a decadent blend of blackberry, tonka and smooth vanilla

Fox Fire Wax – Pirate’s Tea at Sea – a dark grey clamshell with copper metallic shimmer, 2.8oz clamshell ($4.50)
Fragrance notes: an oceanic and ozone based musk blended with orange pekoe black tea with hints of clove, vanilla and amber

I haven’t smelled or melted either of these specific scents, so the descriptions are from the makers and are for informational purposes only.
