June 2020 Release

Happy Wednesday! It actually took me a minute to think of what day it was. My sleep schedule and days are all jumbled, even though I’m still working full time. We’ve been a little busy in the house – my son is graduating from 8th grade tomorrow and they’re doing a car parade type thing for the kids. I can’t believe I will have a high school kiddo soon. Makes me a tiny bit misty eyed.

Anyways, that’s where I’m at right now in this rollercoaster that is 2020, but I have some more swatches for you. Today we’re going to look at the Emily de Molly June 2020 Release!

Initially this collection was supposed to be a late May collection, but due to supplies and Hayley wanting swatchers to actually have time to swatch – it was pushed back to June 10th (US/International site) and June 11th (Australian site) for release. I actually have the next EdM collection in already as well – so you’ll see those in a couple weeks too.

Emily de Molly | A New Place

A New Place is a light grey crelly base with pink to gold to green chrome flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Emily de Molly | Day to Day

Day to Day is a very pale, cool toned beige creme with blue micro flakes. This is a simplistic shade that’s absolutely beautiful. I used 2 coats an and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Emily de Molly | Distinct Lines (Magnetic)

Distinct Lines is a medium strawberry pink crelly base with metallic gold flakes and silvery white magnetic shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I only magnetized the middle and ring finger nails so you can see it both with and without the use of a magnet.

Emily de Molly | Hands Held High

Hands Held High is a medium dusty lilac creme with strong gold shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Brushstrokes are slightly visible in application.

Emily de Molly | One More Try

One More Tr is a deep purple jelly base with green to blue to purple shifting foil type shimmer, as well as orange to red shifting glitter. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Due to the glitters, this shade does dry down with texture, which may require 2 coats of top coat to smooth over if you use a thinner consistency top coat.

Emily de Molly | Only Us

Only Us is a deep blurple jelly base loaded with blue iridescent flakes and pink to gold to green shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Emily de Molly | Open Work

Open Work is a purple jelly base with pink to gold to green shifting aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The shimmer in this one is larger particle so they look more like micro flecks, which actually helps add to the opacity of this shade.

Emily de Molly | Resort To Swim

Resort To Swim is a dark turquoise green creme base with pink to orange to green shifting aurora shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Emily de Molly | Stuck In The Clouds

Stuck In The Clouds is a deep blue crelly base loaded with copper to gold to green aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

First coat seems really sheer – but it does build up nicely and to opacity.

Emily de Molly | Thereabouts

Thereabouts is a deep, vibrant purple crelly base with neon pink glitters. I actually thought this shade would be a nightmare to photograph and it wasn’t. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Emily de Molly | June 2020 Release

I really liked this set and there’s a lot of colors I gravitate to within it. Specifically the shimmers. These are also in my color preferences of blues, purples and neutrals.

My top picks are (in order): Stuck In The Clouds, Resort To Swim, Day to Day and Distinct Lines. Thereabouts is up there too, but those 4 beat it out.
