Next up we have the Emily de Molly Halloween 2019 Trio to take a look at!

This set is slightly different from your typical Halloween collection. The colors can sway into Halloween territory without being straight up Halloween feels. At first, I was a bit miffed that these 3 shades made up the trio, since only 1 felt Halloweenish to me… but after putting them on, I didn’t care anymore. They were too pretty to stare at to think about the inspo.

Emily de Molly | Hazy Situation

Hazy Situation is like a sleeper shade. It’s a medium grey base with silvery white magnetic shimmer. So in the bottle (and unmagnetized) it just looks like a grey creme with silver shimmer (shown on pinky below) but when you apply the magnet, the line jumps out at you. It’s very simplistic, but really classy and a polish for all occasions.

I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Emily de Molly | In Madness We Shall Reign

In Madness We Shall Reign is the only one that really feels Halloween to me from this trio. But… while it’s the only one – it doesn’t disappoint. This is a medium rust orange jelly base loaded wtih green to purple aurora shimmer and gold holographic microglitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Also – despite the microglitters, the base is a nice consistency so it was smooth application and only needed 1 coat of top coat for a smooth, juicy mani.

Emily de Molly | Dead Or Alive

Dead Or Alive is my top pick from this trio. This is described as a bright ultramarine base, but on my it looks almost bright, deep periwinkle. I’m tired, and it was a hard week – so it could be my fuzzy head – but I personally would say bright, deep periwinkle crelly base with pink to green shifting iridescent flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

You know what – scratch what I said – if periwinkle and ultramarine had a baby, I think this would be it. That’s my official color description. The lovechild of periwinkle and ultramarine.

Emily de Molly | Halloween 2019 Trio

While I don’t get HALLOWEEN screaming vibes from this trio, I do get BUY ME NOW vibes. It’s beautifully done and I love the selection such a small set up brings. Plus with all the oranges, purples, greens and black shades getting thrown at us this season, it’s nice to see a unique color palette for the season.

I had no application issues with any of these shades.
