Press Sample of DIFFERENT dimension
Intergalactic Collection
Late night post, but I have the DIFFERENT dimension Intergalactic Collection to share with you!
This is a 5 piece collection that was created as the transitional Fall to Winter 2016 set. 4 polishes are jelly based and 1 is a full on glitter bomb, but all 5 have holo and color shifting glitters in them
I’m going to tell you right now, these shades are stunning. I don’t generally do bottle shots, and I’m not very good at them, but I had to for this collection. Please keep in mind though, because the bottles are glass and have a really nice curvature, the color shifting flakes will not be that shifty on your nails all the time. You will see sparks of color and shiftiness though when wiggling your nails.
Let’s take a look! Also, clutch your wallets – this is one of two collections releasing from DIFFERENT dimension on November 11th.
DIFFERENT dimension Intergalactic Collection – Ghost Of Jupiter
Ghost Of Jupiter is the full coverage glitter bomb in the collection. This is a clear base that is densely packed with silver holographic microglitters and iridescent red to green color shifting glitters. I used 2 coats and 2 coats of glossy top coat for these photos.
The holo in this polish almost wipes out the color shifting glitters, but you actually see shifts of red and green on the nail rather than the actual glitters. It made for a really neat, subtle effect.
DIFFERENT dimension Intergalactic Collection – Butterfly Nebula
Butterfly Nebula is my top pick for the collection. This is a violet jelly base with holographic microflakes and iridescent red to green color shifting glitters. I used 3 thin coats for these photos and a glossy top coat. I could have done just 2 coats and been okay, but I wanted more depth.
DIFFERENT dimension Intergalactic Collection – Cat’s Eye Nebula
Cat’s Eye Nebula is a burgundy jelly base with holographic microflakes and iridescent red to green color shifting glitters. I found the shifting glitters were almost swallowed up by the deep base, but when light hits just right you do get the green flash, but it’s subtle. It’s still a beautiful vampy shade regardless, but the shift isn’t as obvious.
DIFFERENT dimension Intergalactic Collection – Helix Nebula
Helix Nebula is the sheerest jelly of the collection. This is a teal jelly base with holographic microflakes and iridescent red to green color shifting glitters. At first I was like “hmm … kinda sheer” but the sheerer shades let the iridescent color shifting flakes work their magic a bit more, so it makes up for it. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
DIFFERENT dimension Intergalactic Collection – Hourglass Nebula
Hourglass Nebula is the final shade in the collection. This is a chocolate brown jelly (borderline crelly) base with holographic microflakes and iridescent red to green color shifting glitters. Much like Cat’s Eye Nebula, the rich base swallows the shift of the glitters a bit, but they are still there. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade isn’t quite so red leaning in person. It is a milder chocolate brown, but my camera wanted to make it more of a red leaning brown in these photos.
DIFFERENT dimension Intergalactic Collection Overview
I was really excited about this collection, and I think they are really well done. The holographic microflakes with iridescent color shifting glitters was a really nice mix, and while the more opaque shades swallow that color shift a bit, it still makes an interesting polish. Butterfly Nebula and Helix Nebula have slightly sheerer bases, so the color shift is more visible with those 2, so if that’s what you are after – then those are the 2 you want. The iridescent glitters really fight to be seen with Ghost Of Jupiter because of all the holo bling, but they add a wash of color in lighting that gives a glowy effect that’s really interesting. Overall, a well done collection and I had no application issues.
All 5 are really lovely, but my top picks are Butterfly Nebula, Helix Nebula and Ghost Of Jupiter
