Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe Swatches and Review

A few weeks ago Good Morning America held a promo for 50% off select Deborah Lippmann nail polishes.  The 3 available for the 50% off were Across the Universe, Happy Birthday and Today was  A Fairytale.  At that point I had no Deborah Lippmann’s in my collection and this being SUCH a good deal… I bought all 3!  They all arrived today in the mail and I am not disappointed!

Tonight I am swatching and reviewing Deborah Lippmann’s Across the Universe.  I love pretty much everything about this nail polish!  Across the Universe is a deep navy blue jelly base with blue glitter and with teal and green hexagon glitter suspended in it.  Application was easy – to start I put on Nail-Aid 3 Minute Acrylics, then I used 3 coats of Across the Universe (no other colored base coat) and Poshe Fast Dry Top Coat.  The glitter isn’t gritty and I can barely feel it when I touch my nails.  HUGE plus for me.  All of the hexagons lay flat on my nail.  I CAN feel it isn’t 100% smooth but it doesn’t feel like I might snag my clothes or hair with it.

Again, I used 3 coats of Across the Universe and Poshe Fast Dry Top Coat over it.  This polish is PHENOMENAL!!  Took photos at 2 differentish angles for glitter reasons.

Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe is available at LippmannCollections.com as well as Nordstroms and retails for $18.00 for a .5 fl oz bottle

This is so beautiful! I love her polishes but they are so expensive. You got a good deal!

I probably would have waited awhile to buy it had it not been for this sale. It’s tough dropping almost 20 dollars on a polish you’ve never used before!

The best part is the for that amount of glitter it should be rough not smooth. But hers are all smooth that I have tried. I also thought Oh crap its going to be a nightmare but they were not. I usually use Zoya remove, but I got a sample size of Butter London’s Powder room and used that. No fighting with it, no using a lot of remover. I then switched to Zoya remove because the powder room left a powdery residue. Again came right off

I really love the application! The description of poweder room is really odd sounding LOL I may have to try it because of that
