Good morning and happy Monday! What makes this Monday so happy? Well, because I get to show you my review of the Darling Diva Polish Mythical Pee Collection!

First and most importantly before we get into anything: These are NOT Limited Edition! The only one that is limited is Unicorn Pee. The rest are not limited and will be around for a bit!

The Darling Diva Polish Mythical Pee collection consists of 11 stunning unicorn pee pigmented toppers. There are 5 solid shifting toppers, then 5 of those same toppers with a bit of holo added, and then a unicorn pee topper with a little bit more oomph added. I did all of these over a solid black creme (Darling Diva Polish You’re So Hot You Melt The Plastic In My Underwear) and I only used 1 coat. You get a very STRONG shifty effect in 1 simple coat, so I didn’t feel the need to do more. My weekend was also a little more jam packed than I expected, so I only selected a couple of these to do over an additional color.

From my understanding, a few of these “unicorn pee” pigments haven’t been released before. Carrie of Darling Diva Polish was gifted them by one of the originators of this magical pee pigment. Some look fairly close, but there are differences.

Unicorn Pee

We are going to start this off with Unicorn Pee! Unicorn Pee is a red to green shifting pigment with shifting glitters, blue to indigo shifting flakes, holo flakes, sterling silver flakes, 14k white gold flakes and platinum silver flakes added in. I did 1 coat over a black creme for these photos.

If you have If You Were A Transformer, You’d Be Optimus Fine – this is the same Unicorn Pee base, but with a ton more oomph added in.

Unicorn Pee over Salon Perfect Mood Ring

I just got the Salon Perfect Neon POP collection in for Summer 2017, and I felt like pairing Mood Ring with Unicorn Pee. Here is 1 coat of Unicorn Pee over 3 coats of Salon Perfect Mood Ring.

Pegasus Pee

Pegasus Pee over OPI This Is Not Whine Country

Here is 1 coat of Pegasus Pee over OPI This Is Not Whine Country. This shift is a bit more subtle over lighter shades, but I still loved the effect.

Dragon Pee

Dragon Pee is one of my favorites from this set! Dragon Pee is a rich green speckled with red that shifts to a rich blue. I used 1 coat over a black creme for these photos.

Dragon Pee over Colors By Llarowe Where The Columbines Grow

I used Dragon Pee over a vampy shade – Colors by Llarowe Where The Columbines Grow! 1 coat is all I used.

Dragon Pee Holo

Dragon Pee Holo is a rich green speckled with red that shifts to a rich blue with holo added in. I used 1 coat over a black creme for these photos.

Fairy Pee

Fairy Pee is a green to gold to warm coppery red topper. I used 1 coat over a black creme for these photos.

Mermaid Pee

Mermaid Pee is a stunning green to aqua to indigo shift. The pigment particles are a tad larger in this compared to the others. I used 1 coat and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Kelpie Pee

Last up we have Kelpie Pee! Kelpie Pee is a bright green to a bright true blue topper. I used 1 coat over a black creme for these photos.

Darling Diva Polish Mythical Pee Collection Overview

Just wow. This is an incredible collection! Ok application and formula? Perfection. The ‘pee’ pigments all have fairly strong shifts and you get really nice coverage in just 1 coat.  The deeper the polish base, the better the shift will be, you can see that in some of the photos I showed with a different base coat color. The holo versions are pretty, but the holo pigment does dull the shift a little, just like it does with any polish color.

Some of these look very similar at first glance since a lot do a green to blue shift – but the shades of blue and green do have differences, or the pigment particle size is different.

Again, don’t forget – these are NOT Limited Edition shades, with the exception of Unicorn Pee. So if you want Unicorn Pee, I do suggest grabbing that one asap – but the other 10 shades should be around for a bit!

Over the next week I will be showing more of these shades over random base colors as well!

My Top Picks: Dragon Pee, Fairy Pee and Mermaid Pee (both holo and regular) but really, I wouldn’t turn down any of these.
