Cupcake Polish | Vintage Rose Collection

Happy Friday! I have a new Cupcake Polish collection to share with you today… and it’s the Vintage Rose Collection!

This is one of the more unique color stories I’ve seen so far this Spring, and I kinda love it!

The Vintage Rose Collection is a 6 piece collection with shimmer, multichrome and flakes. This set releases at noon today… so be ready!

For the fine details, I do use Apres Gel X Nails in Extra Short Stiletto which are clear nails. I do not use blurring base coats or anything to increase opacity of the nails. With the clear nails, if you can see through the tip still – then odds are you will also see VNL through the polish I have on. If you cannot see through them, then opacity was likely reached.

I work during the day in a medical office, and on weekends I enjoy day time shenanigans with my son – so most of my swatching is done at night in studio lighting. I also use a fairly basic, older point and shoot camera (Nikon L830) and I don’t do any fun frills to be fancy cause I don’t know how, if we’re being completely honest.

Ready to jump in?

Cupcake Polish | Garden Grace

Garden Grace is a jade green jelly base loaded with blue to green to gold multichrome shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cupcake Polish | Guilded

Guilded is a white crelly base with subtle gold metallic flakes and a subtle coppery to gold shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cupcake Polish | Pretty In Pink

Pretty In Pink is a medium-deep pink creme base with red to gold iridescent shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cupcake Polish | Retro Romance

Retro Romance is a pale rose gold jelly base with red to orange to gold iridescent aurora shimmer mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is one of those “all occasions” classy shade

Cupcake Polish | Reverie

Reverie is a sage green crelly base with red to gold iridescent shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cupcake Polish | Rose Soiree

Rose Soiree is a muted mauvey burgundy crelly with gold shimmer and gold metallic flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I had a couple flakes come out that had a bent edge so it stuck up more, so I used tweezers to pluck them off while the polish was still wet.

Cupcake Polish | Vintage Rose Collection

My top picks from this set are: Garden Grace, Retro Romance and Reverie.

I had no application issues other than some slightly bent flakes in Rose Soiree that i plucked off. I think there were only 2 small ones, but some larger flake polishes have a couple of them in there – so it wasn’t a surprise.

Price: $13.00 Each
