Today the Cupcake Polish Seashell Collection launches! In fact, I believe it just did, so if you haven’t grabbed any yet, let’s take a look at all 6 shades.
The Cupcake Polish Seashell Collection is a 6 piece linear holographic collection with added iridescent glitters. The linear holo is really what stands out, but you catch glimpses and sparks of the iridescent glitters as you wiggle your fingers around.
Let’s take a closer look!
Mermaid You Look
Mermaid You Look is a medium teal linear holographic with iridescent glitters. This has more of a jelly like base, so I did need 3 thin coats for full coverage. If you use medium to thick coats, 2 should work fine.
Oh Ship!
Oh Ship! has the strongest holo of the 6. This is a silver linear holographic with iridescent glitters mixed in. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Wait & Sea
Wait & Sea is a medium peachy orange linear holographic with iridescent glitters. Wait & Sea is the sheerest of the 6 shades, and while the holo is still fairly strong, it’s actually the most calm holo of the collection. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Sea-duction
Sea-duction is a medium lilac purple linear holographic with iridescent glitters. I used 2 easy coats for these photos.
All Washed Up
All Washed Up is a medium sky blue linear holographic with iridescent glitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Pier Pressure
Last up we have Pier Pressure! Pier Pressure is a light pink linear holographic with iridescent glitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Cupcake Polish Seashell Collection Overview
If you love linear holographics, this is a great collection to jump into. The colors are vibrant and the added glitters are a nice twist to them. If you are looking for a more “in your face” linear holo, then you would want Pier Pressure, Oh Ship!, All Washed Up or Sea-duction. Those shades have a more metallic look and the holo is intense. Both Wait & Sea and Mermaid You Look still have brilliant holos, but the base is more of a jelly so 3 coats may be needed for full coverage.
I had no application issues, and the glitters lay relatively flat – but if you use a super thin coat coat, you may want to double up since there is a very light texture because of the glitters.
My top picks are Oh Ship!, Mermaid You Look and All Washed Up
Price: $13.00 Each
