Press Sample of the Cupcake Polish
70’s Collection
Cupcake Polish is releasing a new collection later today at 7pm CDT and it’s the 70’s Collection!
For Fall 2020 Cupcake Polish did a 70’s inspired collection! Inspiration was taken from 70’s interior decorating, fashion and aesthetics. There are 6 polishes total and 3 are shifting flakes, and 3 are shifting shimmers.
Let’s jump in and take a look!
Cupcake Polish | Boogie Down
Boogie Down is a cobalt blue jelly base with bronze to red multichrome flakes, as well as gold to orange to green iridescent flakes, and a subtle scattered holo effect. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Dries down with a very mild texture.
Cupcake Polish | Can You Dig It?
Can You Dig It? is a carrot orange crelly base with pink to green shifting aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Cupcake Polish | Flower Power
Flower Power is a berry leaning red jelly base loaded with gold to red to green shifting aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Cupcake Polish | Granny Square
Granny Square is a medium brown crelly base with pink to silver to green shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Pretty sure my grandparents had a couch with this color scheme going when I was little.
Cupcake Polish | Groovy Baby
Groovy Baby is a medium pickle green jelly base with bronze to pink multichrome shimmer, as well as gold to pink to green iridescent flakes sprinkled in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Cupcake Polish | Peace & Love
Peace & Love is a dusty sage green crelly base with gold to pink to green iridescent flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Cupcake Polish | 70’s Collection
I really enjoyed this collection and the shimmer portion was my favorite of the 6 shades. While I was born in the 80’s – looking back at photos, there was still a lot of 70’s decor and outfits still in my baby photos (I was early 80’s baby.) I do hope Cupcake Polish keeps going and does and 80’s, 90’s and/or 00’s inspired collection as well.
I had no application issues with any of the shades.
Price: $13.00 Each

OMG OMG these all look super amazing :-D
This palette is really speaking to me. I am a ’70s baby and as such have eschewed all things ’70s for most of my life. But the last couple of years… suddenly I am all about the olive greens, oranges and mustard yellows and disco music. LOL! Hopefully I will be able to add a few of these colors to my collection. Thanks so much for the beautiful swatches!
