Tonight I have the CrowsToes Pearls Of Wisdom Collection to share with you!

This is a 7 piece collection of pearly shades that can be worn on their own or over a base shade. I did this review showing all 7 shades over a black creme base because it helped show off the shifts and colors within the pearly bases. Various shades as a base color will change the Pearls Of Wisdom just enough to make a whole new unique look on your nails.

They are actually pretty incredible.

You can also wear them alone for a lighter wash of color with a semi subtle flash of colors within.

Let’s take a look at these shades over black!

Suck It Up Buttercup

Suck It Up Buttercup is one of the thicker shades in the collection so it covered the black extremely well, but it also made application over it a little tricky. This is an off-white pearly base with a red to gold shift and holographic microglitters. I used 1 coat over a black creme for these photos.

I think this shade would be better on it’s own or over a light nude or white creme.

Everybody Wants To Rule The World

Much like Suck It Up Buttercup, this is a thicker shade and it made it harder to cover the black without some peeking through for me.

Everybody Wants To Rule The World is a white pearly based green to pink shifting shade with holographic micro glitters mixed in, as well as iridescent microglitters. I used 1 coat over a black creme for these photos.

Triple Double Standard

Triple Double Standard is one of my favorites. This is a white pearly based shade with a purple to green shift as well as silver holographic microglitter mixed in. I used 1 coat over a black creme for these photos.

Projection, Deflection & Misdirection

Projection, Deflection & Misdirection is another favorite. This is an off white pearly base with a teal to violet shift and holo microglitters mixed in. The shift is obvious but still slightly toned down. I used 1 coat over a black creme for these photos.

Glass House?… Drop The Rock

Glass House?… Drop The Rock is one of the more vibrant shades in this collection. This is a white pearly base with an aqua blue to violet shift with holographic microglitters mixed in. I used 1 coat over a black creme for these photos.

3 Sides To Every Story

3 Sides To Every Story is one of the thinner formulas that was easiest to work with. This is an off white pearly base that shifts from green to teal with holographic microglitters mixed in. I used 1 coat over a black creme for these photos.

Next Time You Think You’re Perfect, Try Walking On Water

Ok so 1 shade in this collection isn’t pearly. It’s gorgeous though and is phenomenal over black.

Next Time You Think You’re Perfect, Try Walking On Water is a clear base with iridescent blue flecks and silver holographic microglitters. I used 1 coat over a black creme for these photos.

Ok so time for thoughts. A few of these shades are on the thicker side, but not too thick to really work with. Over black? Yes a bit thicker and more obvious when only doing 1 coat so the shift shines at its strongest. However, if used over a lighter color (beige or even white) that won’t be noticeable. It’s not a gummy thickness either, so I want to clarify that. It’s not thick in the sense that it’s hard to apply, it simply has more coverage. All 6 of the pearly based shades can be worn alone, so I simply showed them over black for maximum shift.
