Happy Sunday! Today I have a few posts coming up, but the first one is CrowsToes Nail Color Damned If You Do & Indian Summer in 4 different finishes!

This is just 2 of the 6 multichrome shades CrowsToes has released that come in 4 different finishes. The 4 finishes are: Original, Sparked (scattered holo), Linear Holo (self explanatory) and Bleached Holo (densely packed linear holo)

Damned If You Do is part of a new 4 piece collection and all 4 of those shades are available in the 4 different finishes. You can also find Huginn & Muninn in all 4 finishes.

Let’s take a look at both shades I have to share (Damned If You Do and Indian Summer) in all 4 finishes.

Indian Summer

Indian Summer Original

Indian Summer is probably a favorite of almost all who have tried CrowsToes. It is a deep red to berry purple to orange multichrome. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Indian Summer Sparked 

Indian Summer Sparked Finish has the same base color as the original, but with a scattered holographic effect added. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Indian Summer Linear Holo

Indian Summer Linear Holo finish is again, same base as the original but with a linear holographic finish. As you can see, the base color is getting lighter with the new addition of linear holo and the shift is slightly less apparent. It’s still there, but not as shifty.

I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Indian Summer Bleached Holo

When I first saw that CrowsToes had “bleached holo” as a finish, I was a little baffled. But once I saw it – it actually made sense.

Indian Summer Bleach Holo finish is the same base, but with an incredibly dense linear holographic. Almost in the ultra holo category, but it really bleached out the base color to a softer hue and the shift of the multichrome is almost non existent.

I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Damned If You Do 

Damned If You Do Original

Damned If You Do is a slightly blackened based bright green to blue to purple to magenta to orange gold multichrome. The prominent colors are green, blue and purple, and the orange gold is much harder to spot. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Damned If You Do Sparked

Damned If You Do in the sparked finish is the same as the original, but with a scattered holographic effect.

I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Damned If You Do Linear Holo

Damned If You Do Linear Holo is still the same base, but slightly more muted and with a linear holographic effect. Of the 4 finishes for Damned If You, this finish is my favorite.

As with Indian Summer, with the linear holo effect, the multichrome effect dulls a bit. but it still there. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Damned If You Do Bleached Holo

Last up we have Damned If You Do Bleached Holo finish. The shift is much more subtle, but the holo is much stronger.

CrowsToes Nail Color Damned If You Do & Indian Summer Overview

Concept wise, I really like the idea of 1 color in 4 finishes so you play more to preference. You also see how much some of the added effects alter the main base color. While I do find all of the versions pretty, the base colors were significantly lighter as we went along, as were the multichrome shift. In the Bleached Holo shades, the multichrome was almost nonexistent and you have to REALLY look for that subtle shift.

The shades currently available in 4 different finishes are: Indian Summer, Huginn & Muninn, Damned If You Do, Damned If You Don’t, So Dammit I Did & 1 Murder and Please Hold The Glitter. There is a chance she will expand on the shades available in an assortment of finishes at a later date.

These shades just launched for the new finishes and Damned If You Do set. Right now they are available for preorder, and that window will close Monday, January 30th at 8PM EST. These are not limited edition, but once preorders are filled, they will make an appearance at a later date.
