I have a new-to-me brand to share today! Cracked Polish sent their Artificial Flavors collection for me to swatch and review!

The Artificial Flavors Collection is an 8 piece collection with a vibrant and playful lineup curated to evoke the carefree spirit of summer and awaken your inner child.

If you would like to see how these shades applied, you can check out my video on YouTube!

For the month of June, Cracked Polish will be donating 10% of their revenue to a local charity called Lambert House. Lambert House focuses on empowering lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth through the development of leadership, social, and life skills. You can read more about the organization here https://www.lamberthouse.org

For the fine details, I do use Apres Gel X Nails in Extra Short Stiletto which are clear nails. I do not use blurring base coats (unless I’m reviewing them) or anything to increase opacity of the nails – and it shows during my YouTube videos especially. With the clear nails, if you can see through the tip still – then odds are you will also see VNL through the polish I have on. If you cannot see through them, then opacity was likely reached.

I work during the day in a medical office, and on weekends I enjoy day time shenanigans with my son – so most of my swatching is done at night in studio lighting. I also use a fairly basic, older point and shoot camera (Nikon L830)

Let’s take a look!

Cracked Polish | Cherry Sugar Water

Cherry Sugar Water is a vibrant warm red jelly base with a fine red shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cracked Polish | Pushin’ Pop

Pushin’ Pop is a light tangerine jelly base with orange to pink large particle shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cracked Polish | Lemon Brain

Lemon Brain is a citrine yellow crelly base with yellow shimmer and sheen. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The first 2 coats applied a little patchy, but the third even it out. This is partly because I do apply in thinner coats, which has a higher likelihood of patches while building opacity

Cracked Polish | Lima Jelly Bean

Lima Jelly Bean is a semi sheer medium lime green jelly base with gold glitters and micro holo glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This does build in opacity but the first coat is really sheer. If you have strong VNL you will likely see it through this shade even at 3 coats.

Cracked Polish | B-Razz

B-Razz is a vibrant cobalt blue jelly base with pink and blue shimmers mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cracked Polish | Grapeness

Grapeness is a grape purple jelly. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This did apply a little patchy for me, however – in normal lighting it’s not as obvious. Brighter photo lighting shows it a bit more.

Cracked Polish | Pink Strawberry Puffs

Pink Strawberry Puffs is a sheer pink jelly base loaded with pink to soft gold shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

After the initial photos, the final 4 photos show one coat of Pink Strawberry Puffs over Grapeness.

Cracked Polish | Stevie-O

Stevie-O is a pale pink toned beige crelly with gold shimmer that shifts slightly greenish. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cracked Polish | Artificial Flavors Collection

This is my first time trying the brand and my thoughts overall are good. Application was good, they do seem to be on the slightly sheer side but they do build up. I think many will appreciate they aren’t “kitchen sink” polishes and have a slightly more simplistic formula that still stands out with vibrant colors and tones. I do look forward to see more of what they will be bringing to the indieverse.

My top picks from this collection are Stevie-O, Cherry Sugar Water and Pink Strawberry Puffs.
