China Glaze Summer 2015 Desert Escape Collection Swatches & Review

I have the newest offerings from China Glaze to show you tonight!  This is the Summer 2015 Desert Escape collection.  While Electric Nights showed us the vibrant and neon shades, this one tones it down just a bit, but a few colors still pack a bit of a punch.

This is a specialty collection and isn’t available in the normal places you can find China Glaze, so read on to the end for purchasing information.

Meet Me In The Mirage

Meet Me In The mIrage

Meet Me In The Mirage is the lonely metallic shade in the collection.  This is a medium rose gold metallic.  I used 2 coats for these photos and was rather thrilled that there were very minimal brush strokes.

Don’t Mesa With My Heart

Don't Mesa With My Heart

Don’t Mesa With My Heart is a fun and girly bubblegum pink with the slightest hint of lavender.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos and this had a fairly thin formula.  It didn’t pool in the cuticle area, but application was patchy and thin on the first 2 coats.

Don’t Desert Me

Don't Desert Me

Don’t Desert Me is my favorite of the collection!  This is a slightly vibrant subtle shimmery fuchsia.  Absolutely beautiful!  I used 2 coats for these photos. Some brush strokes are visible.

What’s She Dune?

What She Dune

What’s She Dune? is a pale beige creme.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

Another gorgeous shade!  Rain Dance The Night Away is a vibrant yet slightly dusty turquoise creme.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

The Heat Is On

The Heat Is On

The Heat Is On is a vibrant orange toned red jelly.  This is a gorgeous shade as well, but not necessarily an original one.  The formula was really nice and I used 3 easy coats for these photos.

The collection itself is a pretty one.  I like the assortment of color and overall application was decent.  Don’t Mesa With My Heart was a little on the thin side but workable.  My top picks for the collection are Rain Dance The Night Away, Don’t Desert Me & Meet Me In The Mirage.

This Specialty collection launches in June 2015 but will be slightly different as far as availability.

You can find this whole collection for purchase on LockAndMane.com only. LockAndMane is a new China Glaze online retailer, so if you are looking for individual bottles from Desert Escape, or any of the nail art kits for this collection, they are the ones to visit.

Sally Beauty will only carry select nail art kits but they will not retail the individual colors.

The 2 Nail Art Kits will have:

Art You Looking Tribal: Includes three lacquers and a black Stripe Rite nail art liner

I’ve seen this collection at Cosmoprof and I had no idea it was going to be distributed like that. I hope International distributors still get it as usual :/

I quite like those last 3 shades, they look so creamy and perfect!

I really want this whole collection so thank you for the heads up on availability!! I really hate when brands don’t make them widely available though :-(
