Tonight I have the Holiday 2014 Collection from China Glaze to show you… the Twinkle Collection! This is a nice collection with some classic shades as well as some nice glitters to jazz the cremes up!
We’ll take a look at the cremes, shimmers and metallics first, then we’ll look at the glitters.
December to Remember
December to Remember is a beautiful medium icy blue base loaded with pink and gold shimmer. I used 2 coats for these photos.
I’d Melt For You
I’d Melt For You is a silver chrome. Like most chromes, this will show nail imperfections easily so I would recommend a ridge filling base coat if you have prominent ridges. I don’t have super prominent ridges, so I didn’t have issues with it. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Out Like A Light
Out Like A Light is a deep grey creme. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Tip Your Hat
Tip Your Hat is a slightly dusty red creme. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Define Good…
Define Good… is probably my favorite of the collection. This is a shimmery cranberry. I used 2 coats for these photos.
No Peeking!
No Peeking! is a smokey purple with fine shimmer throughout. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Dancing & Prancing
Dancing & Prancing is a fun multicolored glitter topper with silver, gold, pink, blue and green. I used 1 coat over Out Like A Light.
Chillin’ With My Snow-mies
Chillin’ With My Snow-mies is a clear base with small, medium and large matte white hex glitters. I did have to do a bit of fishing to get the larger ones out. Shown is 2 coats over No Peeking!
Feeling Twinkly
Feeling Twinkly is a fine blue micro glitter. I used 1 coat over a Salon Perfect Sugar Cube.
De-Light
De-Light has gold glitter and silver holographic bar glitter in a clear base. I used 1 coat over Tip Your Hat.
Pine-ing For Glitter
Pine-ing For Glitter is a teal green micro glitter topper. I used 1 coat over a creamy nude.
Meet Me Under The Stars
Meet Me Under The Stars is another favorite of mine. This is a deep blackened blue base with silver micro glitter throughout. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Overview
Overall this is a nice collection with a mix of glitters, shimmers and cremes. I like that there is a mix of colors and not just reds and greens. My top picks are Define Good…, Pine-ing For Glitter, Meet Me Under The Stars and December To Remember.
