Happy Saturday! I have a glittery filled collection to share tonight – and it’s the China Glaze Drippin’ in Glitz collection!
It’s been awhile since I applied straight glitter bombs… and I still love them… but I was also reminded that I will find bits of glitter hours after.
I definitely enjoyed these, and they are great for holiday gatherings, or just wanting some extra bling to make you smile. They can be added on top of a creme or used as a jelly sandwich type mani, or you can build up for fairly full coverage. While I enjoy these… I like them but I don’t love them. China Glaze has definitely put out better glitters before.
A few notes I wanted to make is that if texture bothers you, these all have it – so I recommend a good glitter topper. For these photos I did use Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (sent as PR) as well as Glisten & Glow Top Coat (also PR) but if you have a preferred glitter smoother or top coat combo – you’ll want it most likely.
I also noticed that after the first coat, I could already feel these polishes getting thicker and gave more resistance to glitter manipulation – so it’s not a bad idea to have a good thinner on hand. I did not use any during swatching – but I do use KBShimmer Restoration Drops Polish Thinner (also PR) on polishes that need it and I will most likely use it in these the next time I reach for them.
I do have a swatch video up for all 6 of these, you can check it out below
Lets go ahead and take a closer look.
China Glaze | She’s Icy
She’s Icy is a clear base with a mix of small silver hex glitters and silver shred glitters. I did find some shreds would stick up, so keep a pair of tweezers nearby to either push them down to lay flat, or easily pick off the ones that aren’t cooperating. I used 2 coats, a coat of Glitter Grabber and top coat for these photos.
China Glaze | If It Sparkles It’s Mine
If It Sparkles It’s Mine is a rose gold almost twin to She’s Icy. It contains small rose gold hex glitters, small silver holographic hex glitters, and rose gold shreds. I also had a small issue with the shreds not wanting to always lay flat, so again – a pair of tweezers will be your best friend so you can push a piece down or remove it entirely. I used 2 coats, a coat of Glitter Grabber and top coat for these photos.
China Glaze | I Speak Glitter
I Speak Glitter is a clear base with a mix of green and turquoise small hex glitters, with silver holo bar glitters and silver holo star shaped glitters mixed in. This is a more densely packed glitter. I used 2 coats, a coat of Glitter Grabber and top coat for these photos.
China Glaze | Glitter Is The New Black
Glitter Is The New Black is probably my least favorite of the group. This is a clear base with small black hex glitters, black bar glitters, black shred glitters, small silver hex glitters and silver holo bar glitters. I used 2 coats, a coat of Glitter Grabber and top coat for these photos.
Why is it my least favorite? I think just preference. The bar glitters stand out more and I’m not a huge fan of bar glitters.
China Glaze | Get Your Glitter On
Get Your Glitter On is a clear base with small hex glitters in red, fuchsia and hot pink, as well as pink holo. I used 2 coats, a coat of Glitter Grabber and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This one had the best coverage but it was also the thickest to apply (which kind of makes sense given it seems to be the most densely packed)
China Glaze | Queen of Bling
Queen of Bling is a clear base with gold micro and small hex glitters mixed in. I used 2 coats, a coat of Glitter Grabber and top coat for these photos.
The glitters are densely packed in this one as well, but on the second coat – it started to thicken up. I could feel it when I dipped the brush in the bottle and tried for more glitters.
China Glaze | Drippin’ In Glitz! Collection
I do enjoy glitter, but wow am I out of practice in applying them. I used to apply them all the time and …. i didn’t realize how long it’s been until now.

Finally! I’ve been waiting for someone to swatch these to full opacity, they just kept doing one-coat toppers, useless.
Love the black, red & silver, though I wish the red also had the giant shreds.
A thousand thank-you’s, I appreciate it!
I grabbed three of these, the rose gold, green and black. So far the rose gold is gorgeous in 3 coats! I plan on using the black as a topper to punkify some cremes. And I just love green, the holo stars put me over the top! Love your videos. Thank you!
