I have 3 of the 6 China Glaze Crinkled Chromes on the blog to show you tonight!
Now I know most people’s reactions when they first see these, and I will admit, it was kind of my reaction too. BUT when you actually put them on, they are different and intriguing in a way. Take a look
Aluminate
First up is Aluminate! Aluminate is a chrome silver base with bar glitter and micro glitter mixed in for texture. It looks like crinkled aluminum covering your nails. I used 2 coats for this photo, no top coat.
Crush Crush Baby
Crush Crush Baby is a lavender chrome base with bar glitter and micro glitter mixed in. I used 2 coats for this photo.
I’m A Chromantic
I’m A Chromantic is a chrome pink base with bar glitters and micro glitters mixed in for the texture effect. I used 2 coats for this photo.
Overview
Ok, I get that this collection won’t be for everyone, even those in love with texture. I do have to hand it to China Glaze though, they definitely thought outside the box for this collection. I’m not incredibly thrilled with the set BUT it is intriguing because it’s so different from everything I own. The more I wore them (and I have worn them all a few times now) the more they grew on me. The chrome bases are incredible and I would love to see a chrome collection with these bases. They were all practically 1 coaters, I did 2 for these photos for more texture. Crinkled Chrome is definitely a fitting name for this collection because they do resemble just that. Of the 3, Aluminate was my favorite and my most worn. Application and formula on all of these were outstanding. They were not thick or difficult to apply by any means and I wish more polishes were this easy to put on.
Price: $7.50 Each
Where to Buy: Available in January at beauty supply stores nationwide including Sally Beauty Supply and Ulta
What do you think? Are you feeling the China Glaze Crinkled Chrome Collection?

I think it could look really pretty on one maybe one or 2 fingers at a time paired with glossy nails!
Oh like an accent nail type polish? I may have to try that out!
IF I were to purchase any of the Crinkle line, it would be used as an accent color only on my ring finger and thumb nail tips.
I have to agree with the above comments. I could definitely see myself wearing these on my bling finger, but I’m way too fidgety to wear textures as a full manicure.
