I’m running a little behind on reviews. This cold really knocked me on my bottom and I assure you, there will be a whirlwind of amazing reviews coming this weekend now that I’m starting to feel halfway normal again. Tonight I’ll be showing you the CDB Lacquers Fall 2015 collection!
This gorgeous Fall collection consists of 6 scattered holos – 4 of which are thermals. I tried capturing the thermals as best I could, and for the most part got the transitions, but again – I had a fever and my body temp is still running higher than normal, so the polishes didn’t want to stay in their cold state for very long.
I’m going to start with the 2 normal scattered holographics, then we will move onto the thermals!
Chill in the Air
Chill in the Air is a deep dusty purple gray with scattered holo. This is such an interesting color and I don’t think I have one like it in my collection. If I do – I don’t recall. Gorgeous Fall shade regardless. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Fall into Autumn
Fall into Autumn is a dark teal with blue shimmer and scattered holo. This is another interesting shade and might be my favorite in the collection. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Rustling Leaves
Rustling Leaves is a brown when cold to orange when warm thermal with scattered holo. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Harvest Squash
Harvest Squash is a dark green when cold to bright green when warm thermal with scattered holo. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Plumberry Pie
Plumberry Pie is a dark blurple when cold to purple when warm thermal with scattered holo. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Cranberry Delight
Cranberry Delight is a deep magenta when cold to light pink when warm thermal with scattered holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
CDB Lacquers Fall 2015 Collection Overview
This is a beautifully done collection for Fall. I really love that the thermals have a bright side as well as a dark side so you still get some of those Summer fun colors while moving into Fall shades. I do have to say though, the 2 non thermals are actually my favorite from this collection. They are simply stunning!
Usually I try with thermals to get as much excess water off my nails, but because of my body temp the shades were changing back to warm within 8 seconds of removing my nails from ice water (yeah I timed it) so time was of the essence. Usually I have the opposite issue – my hands are always cold, so keeping it in the warm state is difficult.
