Hope Box 2019

Good morning and Happy Monday! When I said a few days ago that this was an extremely busy month for me, I meant it. On the tails of Polish Pickup, I also had the pleasure of swatching the Breast Cancer Awareness Hope Box 2019!

Chrissy of Turtle Tootsie Polishes is a breast cancer survivor, so she wanted to create a box that would help “give back” to the cause that helped her. This will be an annual box, and this year there are 26 items total; 20 polishes, a topper, a wax melt, a mega lip balm, lotion, soap (not pictured) bracelets and a lanyard. You can buy the full 26 piece box, or pick and choose individual items within the box. That way if you aren’t able to buy the box, you can still grab items you love and it helps be able to donate more. This is also a rather large box, so the group understands that not everyone can grab the full shebang.

All donations go to BCRF.org. As usual with charity items I receive, I will be doing a private donation to BCRF. It’s not something I was asked to do, but I like to give back, especially when I know that they could have chosen to sell these items rather than send to me.

Every item within the box has an element of pink in it. They may not be full on pink, but some elements will have the pink factor. There are no limits on these polishes, so if you want 20 bottles of the same color – go for it.

6 Harts | There Will Be Time

There Will Be Time is a deep purple leaning fuchsia creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. This is slightly more pink leaning in person.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer | What A Wonderful World

What A Wonderful World is a bright coral pink crelly with blue to purple aurora shimmer, and various sizes of glitter in pale mint, white, pink, and teal. This is a borderline “pastel neon” type shade that made my camera flip out. It’s slightly more pink in person. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Third Time’s The Charm

Third Times The Charm is a baby pink creme base with red to orange to green shifting aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Colores de Carol | Valiente

Valiente is a silver linear holographic with pink shimmer and holo flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cuticula | Guavaberry

Guavaberry is a rose gold micro flakes scented top coat scented in a delicious tropical fruity blend of juicy guava mixed with sweet berries. I used 1 coat over 6 Harts There Will Be Time for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Hope

Hope is a dusty rose pink with iridescent chameleon flakes and red to green aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Fair Maiden Polish | Dancing In The Rain

Dancing In The Rain is a delicate light pink crelly base with ultrachrome chameleon flakes that flash all colors of the rainbow, and fiery aurora shimmer.

Great Lakes Lacquer | Never, Ever Give Up Hope

Never, Ever Give Up Hope is a petal pink linear holographic with a strong gold shimmer that shows slight shifts to blue and green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Handmade Natural Beauty | Pink Ribbon Goat Milk Lotion

A moisturizing creamy goat milk lotion scented in Handmade Natural Beauty’s signature “Pink Ribbon” scent, Vanilla Almond Berry. This is a thicker hand cream that leaves a non greasy feel to my hands after using. It soaks in fairly quick and a little goes a long way. Scent wise, the almond and vanilla are the standout scent, with a slight berry note playing in the background.

Think Pink is a ballet slipper pink based scattered holographic and a strong iridescent shimmer that shifts from blue to pink to gold. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Leesha’s Lacquer | La Resistencia (Solar)

La Resistencia is a silver holo based solar polish that changes to pinkish lavender in the sun, as well as having pink flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Lollipop Posse Lacquer | Such A Wonderful Thing To Love

Such A Wonderful Thing To Love is a rose pink crelly filled with green aurora shimmer and a combination of iridescent flakes that shift in shades of purple, pink, and green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Music City Beauty | Wind Beneath My Wings

Wind Beneath My Wings is a magenta creme based scattered holographic with blue fantasy flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Necessary Evil Polish | This Woman’s Work (Tri-Thermal)

This Woman’s Work is a burgundy (cold) to pinkish red (warm) to candy pink (hot) with added shimmer and scattered holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Pepper Pot Polish | BFF: Breast Friends Forever

BFF: Breast Friends Forever is a bright raspberry pink scattered holographic, with gold and blue shimmer and rainbow hex glitters. My photos pull a touch redder than it is. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish | Choose Hope

Choose Hope is a pale metallic pink to gold to green multichrome with turquoise metallic micro flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Polish ‘M | Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow

Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow is a deep fuchsia with iridescent shifting flakes, gold flakes, red holographic glitter and a very subtle aqua flash. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Quixotic Polish | Unbreakable

Unbreakable is a vibrant strawberry pink crelly based scattered holo with orange to pink shifting shimmer.. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Rogue Lacquer | Pink Strong

Pink Strong is a neon Barbie pink with crushed gold flakes added in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. My photos pull a touch coral, but it’s a brighter pink in person.

Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer | Fight Like Hell

Fight Like Hell is a medium raspberrry pink crelly base with copper shimmer and crimson shimmer flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Supernatural Lacquer | Keep Calm & Fight Cancer

Keep Calm & Fight Cancer is a blackened magneta with linear holographic, holo micro flakes and purple to red to gold multichrome shift. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Turtle Tootsie Polishes | Strawberry Cheesecake Mega Lip Balm

Strawberry Cheesecake Mega Lip Balm is triple the size of normal lip balms, this is a luscious strawberry cheesecake mix lip balm that gives your lips a light pink tint. It smells delicious, but doesn’t have flavor that I can detect.

Under A Hula Moon Wax | I’m Gonna Love You Through It

I’m Gonna Love You Through It wax melt combines soft notes of new fallen rain with the juiciest, ripest peaches and a little musk as the base, plus dragonfruit redolence on top to represent the strength and fierceness of protection of the people who love and support all those that battle this disease. This is an incredible scent and I’ve already melted all but 2 cubes of mine.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS HOPE BOX 2019

This is the second year for this box and my second year showing it. It’s slightly larger than last year, and I love how well it all came together and the large variety of pink throughout. There’s also a very large assortment of finishes too!

As I mentioned earlier, all donations go to BCRF.org. $2.00 from each polish sold will be donated, 10% of each item (lotion, mega lip balm, topper, soap and wax) will also be donated. If you purchase a bracelet or lanyard, $2.00 from that sale will also be donated. If you purchase a full box – $20 will be donated. If there is a correction in these numbers, I will update.
