It’s that time of year again – and I am back to share the 7th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Box for 2024!
This is my 7th year sharing this box, so I have covered every single one that came out – which is an absolute honor. I look forward to it every year, and I make a donation myself since this is something that hits close to home, as almost every female in my family has had or currently has breast cancer. My mom has had it twice and luckily it was caught early both times. It’s important to get checked and not to put it off! Not just women either. No matter your gender – get checked!

A little backstory – Chrissy of Hearts and Promises (previously Turtle Tootsie Polishes, this is the first year as Hearts and Promises for this box) is a breast cancer survivor, so she wanted to create a box that would help “give back” to the cause that helped her. You can buy the full box, a full polish only box, or pick and choose individual items within the box. That way if you aren’t able to buy the box, you can still grab items you love and it helps be able to donate more. This is also a rather large box, so the group understands that not everyone can grab the full shebang.
All donations go to BCRF.org. As usual with charity items I receive, I will be doing a private donation to BCRF. It’s not something I was asked to do, but I like to give back, especially when I know that they could have chosen to sell these items rather than send to me.
Every item within the box has an element of pink in it. They may not be full on pink, but some elements will have the pink factor. Some items will have a capped amount, so I will try to put those in each listing.
I was also sent the Diabetes Duo for this box, so that will be at the end of this post.
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did use Sweet & Sour Lacquer Gloss Sauce. I purchased the Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues and the Sweet & Sour Gloss Sauce was sent as a gift.
I do use artificial lighting for my photos. I work during the day and spend weekend afternoons with Nick and Jacob, so I do most swatching when the sun is setting or gone. For my lighting setup, since I use artificial lighting due to my day job, involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).
And lastly – I do use artificial gel nails that I do myself at home. In this post (and video) I am using Apres Gel X Nails in Extra Short Stiletto, which are clear nails. I do not use blurring base coats or anything to increase opacity of the nails – and it shows during my YouTube videos especially. With the clear nails, if you can see through the tip still – then odds are you will also see VNL through the polish I have on. If you cannot see through them, then opacity was likely reached.

Alchemy Lacquers | Perky In Pink
Perky In Pink is a bright bubblegum pink jelly base with blue to purple shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. Final photo shows 1 coat over black.
All Mixed Up Lacquer | You’re Stronger Than This
You’re Stronger Than This is a pink leaning berry jelly base with intense blue to purple shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. Final photo shows 1 coat over black.
Anchor & Heart | No Booby Left Behind
No Booby Left Behind is a clear based glitter bomb featuring a fun mix of glitter in various finishes and medium to extra small sizes, featuring mostly shades of pink and black. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and glossy top coat for these photos.
Final photo shows 1 coat over a soft pink crelly.
Beaux Reves Lacquer | Resilience
Resilience is a raspberry pink jelly base loaded with gold to green shimmer and green reflective glitter. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Colores de Carol | Vida en Rosa (Life in Pink)
Vida En Rosa (Life In Pink) is an ultra holo purplish pink with shifting micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Crystal Knockout | Let The Sun In
Let The Sun In is a neon coral pink crelly base with matte orange and peach glitters. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and glossy top coat for these photos.
Cupcake Polish | Fighter Fuchsia
Fighter Fuchsia is a medium vibrant pink packed with blue shimmer and green and blue flakies. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Cuticula | Fight Song
Fight Song is a coralish peach jelly base with large particle pink to gold shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Hearts & Promises | Stronger Than The Storm
Stronger Then The Storm is a slightly muted neon pink creme base with orange to gold to red aurora shimmer. I used 2 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This formula is really borderline crelly and creme. It has really good opacity though which nudges it closer to creme, but it still has that juicy and plump crelly appearance.
Hula Moon | The Promise Of A New Day
The Promise of a New Day is a shifty shimmer shade that shows pale pink, pinkish beige, peach and has small gold and green flashes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these these photos.
Jen & Berries | Chickity Check Yo Self
Chickity Check Yo Self is a pale pink linear holo base with pink to gold shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade is my fav over a black creme.
Leesha’s Lacquer | En El Momento
En el Momento is an orchid pink (cold) to milky light pink crelly based thermal with large holo flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Luna Lacquer | Pink Power
Pink Power is a sheer, fuchsia pink jelly base with gold to orange to green to blue to purple shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
If you have a strong VNL – it will show through this polish.
Luna Lab Creations Wax Melts | Pink Power
Luna Lab Creations makes incredible wax and I melt them a lot in our home! Pink Power is a blend of pink pineapple, candied strawberry and cotton candy.
This is fruity and sweet and smells incredible. I smell the strawberries and cotton candy the strongest, but a bit of the pineapple peaks through.
LynBDesigns | Nice Melons
Nice Melons is a fun crackle shade! This is a bright raspberry pink jelly crackle base with green to purple shifting shimmer. I did 1 coat over black for these photos, and the thumb shows 1 coat over a baby pink crelly.
Monarch Lacquer | From Darkness Comes Light
From Darkness Comes Light is a thermal shade that I got 3 colors from but it is more common to see just 2. This goes from a chocolatey mauve (cold) to medium pink (warm) and the inbetween state is a rosy pink, and there is blue to green aurora shimmer mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Nailed It | Be The Hope
Be The Hope is a lightly pink tinted jelly base packed with gold to copper shifting crystal flakes and holo flakes. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and glossy top coat for these photos.
Night Owl Lacquer | Unbreakable
Unbreakable is a deep mauve linear holographic with copper shimmer and glass flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Paradox Polish | Still Kicking Ass
Still Kicking Ass is a taupeish jelly base loaded with rose gold to gold shifting magnetic pigment and flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I only magnetized the middle and ring nails to show it both ways.
Red Eyed Lacquer | Sweater Puppies
Sweater Puppies is a warm pink (warm) to coral reddish (cold) crelly based thermal with pink to red to gold shifting shimmer and holo flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Rogue Lacquer | Warrior
Warrior is a soft pink crelly base with copper to pink glass flakes and red to copper to green ultrachrome chameleon flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Sassy Pants Polish | Pink Hope
Pink Hope is a light pink and silver ultra holographic base with assorted uchsia and pink glitters with pink holo microshreds. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I Can-cervive is a bubblegum pink crelly base with gold to red shimmer and holo micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

In October We Wear Pink is a vibrant bubble gum pink crelly base loaded with electric blue shimmer and holo flakes. Glows a pale orange in the dark. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
