Guess what? It’s that time of year… and I have the 5th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Box for 2022 to share with you today!

I’m honored to say that this is my 5th year sharing this collab, and I’ve been blogging it since it began. I look forward to it every year and make a donation myself since this is something that hits close to home, as almost every female in my family has had or currently has breast cancer. My mom has had it twice and luckily it was caught early both times. It’s important to get checked and not to put it off! Not just women either. No matter your gender – get checked!

A little backstory – Chrissy of Hearts and Promises (previously Turtle Tootsie Polishes, this is the first year as Hearts and Promises for this box) is a breast cancer survivor, so she wanted to create a box that would help “give back” to the cause that helped her. This will be an annual box, and this year there are 21 polishes, about 5 – 8 non polish items, plus other items available like lanyards and bracelets. You can buy the full box, a full polish only box, or pick and choose individual items within the box. That way if you aren’t able to buy the box, you can still grab items you love and it helps be able to donate more. This is also a rather large box, so the group understands that not everyone can grab the full shebang.

Also – since 2018, Chrissy has been keeping track of donations and we are currently $257 away from having donated $10,000!

All donations go to BCRF.org. As usual with charity items I receive, I will be doing a private donation to BCRF. It’s not something I was asked to do, but I like to give back, especially when I know that they could have chosen to sell these items rather than send to me.

Every item within the box has an element of pink in it. They may not be full on pink, but some elements will have the pink factor. Some items will have a capped amount, so I will try to put those in each listing.

For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did use a combination of the top coats including Glisten & Glow and Vibrant Vinyls, as well as Anchor & Heart Sea Glass (for the matte photos.) I purchased the Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues and the top coats were sent as pr or as gifts.

For reflective polish photos – I only used my camera flash. It was taken in low light with a my camera (Nikon Coolpix L830) For Glow In The Dark polishes I used this UV flashlight to “charge” my nails for photos (affiliate link)

I do use artificial lighting for my photos. I work during the day and spend weekend afternoons with Nick and Jacob, so I do most swatching when the sun is setting or gone. My current setup uses GlamCor Pro LIghts and I use the Ultra X Model and this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

All Mixed Up Lacquer | Watch Me Kick A** (Solar)

Watch Me Kick A** is a jelly borderline crelly based solar polish that goes from a pale milky pink to bold fuchsia with gunmetal flecks, white and pink glitters, as well as colorshifting mermaid flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The formula for this shade is on the thicker side, so if you prefer thinner formulas, I do suggest using thinner. It will not affect the solar transition for you – but it will thin it to a consistency you may prefer.

I used a UV flashlight to shift the middle 2 nails so you can see both transitions.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer | I Pink I Can!

I Pink I Can! is a neon coral pink base (leans red/coral in certain lighting) packed with gold to green shimmer and lime to gold shifting iridescent glitter in various sizes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Please check all photos of this shade from a variety of swatchers – neons are difficult to capture and the change depending on lighting situations is pretty bit. I used artificial lighting for all of these photos.

Colores de Carol | Let’s Fight Together

Let’s Fight Together is a bright fuchsia leaning pink jelly with blue to violet multichrome shimmer, mermaid flakes and pink and fuchsia metallic shreds. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The shimmer gives this a more orchid like lean in appearance.

Cupcake Polish | Stronger Than Cancer (Reflective Glitter)

Stronger Than Cancer is a medium raspberry pink jelly base filled with silver reflective glitter and a touch of silver holographic glitter. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Depending on how thick your coats are, you may need 2 coats of top coat or a glitter smoothing topper. I didn’t find the texture to be bad and only 1 coat of top coat was needed, but I do use thinner coats.

Cuticula | Pink Ribbon

Pink Ribbon is a baby pink crelly base with rose gold metallic flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I adore this one matte!

Fair Maiden Polish | Unbreakable

Unbreakable is a medium magenta jelly base loaded with blue to purple aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is slightly sheerer so if you have a stronger VNL, you will probably want a blurring base. The shimmer does a great job giving the illusion of opacity – but it’s still possible that you will be able to see the nail through it.

Great Lakes Lacquer | Get Your Boobies Squished

Get Your Boobies Squished is a sheer soft pink jelly based soft linear holographic packed with slightly blue flashing magenta microflakes, as well as iridescent flakes that shift pink to gold to green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Despite the flake content, it lays flat without texture.

Hearts & Promises | Stronger Together

Stronger Together is a medium slightly purple leaning pink jelly based linear holographic with iridescent blue to violet to gold shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is a slightly sheerer shade and you might see VNL through it, especially if yours is a stronger VNL.

Heather’s Hues | Think Pink

Think Pink is a clear base packed with strong pink to orange shifting shimmer, scattered holo, a mix of sizes and colors of pink holo glitters, and violet to pink to gold ultra chrome chameleon flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Hula Moon Nail Lacquer | Fighter

Fighter is a bright pink jelly base loaded with purple shimmer and silver holographic micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Jen & Berries | Stand Up And Face The Enemy

Stand Up and Face the Enemy is a deepened neon pink crelly with loads of crystal flakes that shift through copper, red, gold and green, as well as black flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade shows a little warmer than it is in person.

Leesha’s Lacquers | Tengo Esperanza (Reflective Glitter)

Tengo Esperanza is a cool toned neon pink crelly base with black glitters in hexes and squares, holo micro glitters and a touch of silver reflective glitter. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Luna Lab Creations | Big Or Small Save Them All Wax Melts

Big Or Small Save Them All Wax Melts are room fragrance melts that smell DIVINE.

The official scent description: Green Apple Essence, Amber, Cherry, Warm Vanilla, Sandalwood, and Light Musk.

My nose picks up the cherry and warm vanilla immediately and the green apple scent is lingering in the background and it’s strong enough to give a tart kick to the scent without overpowering it. The sandalwood and musk give a slightly mature hint to the scent as well.

Each set of wax has 6 rounds of wax (4 “nipples” and 2 BCA ribbons) that come to about 5.7oz of wax.

LynBDesigns | Thanks for the Mammaries

Thanks for the Mammaries is a super pale pink shifty jelly base that shifts from pink to orange to green, with linear holo and scattered pink to purple shifting flakes. This polish has a super amped up pearl like look to it and it’s stunning. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Music City Beauty | Lean On Me (Reflective Glitter)

Lean On Me is an orchid pink creme base with red to gold to orange to green shifting iridescent flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Nailed It! Nail Polish | Live, Love, Fight

Live, Love, Fight is a sheer blush pink jelly base packed with a strong glowy pink to gold shifting shimmer, holo micro flakes and a subtle scattered holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | Positive Vibes Only (Reflective Glitter)

Positive Vibes Only is a clear base filled with bronze reflective glitter pigment, rose gold metallic flakes and pink to gold to green color shifting crystal chameleon flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Depending on the thickness of your coats, you may want to use a glitter smoothing topper or 2 coats of top coat.

Paradox Polish | Fueled by Pink Power (Tri-Thermal)

Fueled By Pink Power is a jelly based tri thermal that goes from plummy mauve (cold) to bright red leaning pink (warm) to bright fushcia pink (hot) loaded with green shimmer, as well as green to blue flakes, as well as gold iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish | Touch Your Tatas

Touch Your Tatas is a multichrome shimmery jelly base that shifts through magenta to gold to green with melon green and rose pink metallic microglitters mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Rogue Lacquer | Pink Out

Pink Out is a blush pink crelly base loaded with red to gold color shifting flakes, as well as metallic rose gold and black flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This dries with a slight texture, so you may need 2 coats of top coat, or a glitter smoothing topper and top coat for a smooth, glassy finish.

Sassy Sauce Polish | Cancer – You Picked The Wrong Girl!!! (Thermal)

Cancer – You Picked The Wrong Girl!!! is a deep plummy purple (cold) to bright fuchsia pink (warm) with violet to blue shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The Soapy Chef | Face Your Fears

Face Your Fears is a Himalayan Salt Face & Body Soap. This soap bar is a great way to gently exfoliate and moisturize your skin at the same time. The salt is gentle enough for the skin on the face, but can be used all over the body as well.

The pink clay helps create a silky lather, and absorbs acne causing oils on the face and body. I’ve been using this, but I’m going to be picking up an additional bar for my son because he needs something simple for face and body.

The scent on this soap is very mild. I can smell it but it’s nice and light so you can smell it, but it doesn’t overpower your senses and shouldn’t be too much if you use it on your face.

Scent notes: blackberry, raspberry, orange, cherry, sugared musk, jasmine, pear, wood, creamy vanilla

Ingredients: Coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, avocado oil, rice bran oil, castor oil, spring water, sodium hydroxide, fragrance oil, French pink clay, Himalayan pink salt, titanium dioxide

Zombie Claw Polish | A Warrior! (Glow In The Dark)

A Warrior! is a cotton candy pink jelly base with blue to purple shimmer, pink and blue small and micro flakes and it glows a pale green in the dark! I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
