Press Sample of the Breast Cancer Awareness Box 2020

It’s been a very busy month here, and while I just finished the Polish Pickup post… I now have the Breast Cancer Awareness box for 2020 to share with you!

This is actually my 3rd year participating in swatching this box, and I’m always grateful to be asked to show it.

A little backstory – Chrissy of Turtle Tootsie Polishes is a breast cancer survivor, so she wanted to create a box that would help “give back” to the cause that helped her. This will be an annual box, and this year there are 20 polishes, a wax melt, a lotion stick, soap (not pictured) bracelets and a lanyard. You can buy the full box, a full polish only box, or pick and choose individual items within the box. That way if you aren’t able to buy the box, you can still grab items you love and it helps be able to donate more. This is also a rather large box, so the group understands that not everyone can grab the full shebang.

All donations go to BCRF.org. As usual with charity items I receive, I will be doing a private donation to BCRF. It’s not something I was asked to do, but I like to give back, especially when I know that they could have chosen to sell these items rather than send to me.

Every item within the box has an element of pink in it. They may not be full on pink, but some elements will have the pink factor. There are no limits on these polishes, so if you want 20 bottles of the same color – go for it.

Some items will have a capped amount, so I will try to put those in each listing.

6 Harts | Take All The Silly Selfies

Take All The Silly Selfies is a lilac pink scattered holo with a subtle green shimmer. The holo effect in this is similar to A England’s type if you are familiar with those. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

77 Nail Lacquer | Hope. Strength. Love.

Hope. Strength. Love is a pink leaning orchid crelly base with pink to blue to purple shifting shimmer and a mix of black matte glitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The matte glitters will cause a little texture, so you may need 2 coats of top coat to smooth.

Alter Ego | Armor On Ready To Fight

Armor On Ready To Fight is a pink silvery pink chrome shade. I actually like the name of this one with the chrome finish .. like armor. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer | Feel For Lumps, Save Your Bumps!

Feel For Lumps, Save Your Bumps! is a vibrant, medium minty green crelly base with pink to fuchsia to gold to green shimmer mixed in. The shimmer is slightly larger particles so they appear micro fleck like. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bees Knees Lacquer | F*ck Cancer 2020

F*ck Cancer 2020 is a dark mushroom greige crelly base with pink to gold to green shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Colores de Carol | Shine Bright

Shine Bright is a medium peachy tinged pink crelly base with pink shimmer, as well as pink and silver holo glitters mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade is slightly more peach tinged in person.

Crystal Knockout | Strong Spirit (Thermal)

Strong Spirit is a bright orchid like pink (cold) to pale baby pink (warm) crelly based thermal with iridescent glitters and flakes. There is also a fine golden shimmer throughout. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cuticula | Stronger Than Yesterday

Stronger Than Yesterday is a lavender tinged pink crelly with micro flakes in a rainbow assortment, as well as pink and orange holo flakes, blue and green metallic micro flakes, and green to blue ultra chrome chameleon shifting flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Fair Maiden Polish | Brave Heart

Brave Heart is a hot pink jelly base with magenta to gold to green shifting shimmer mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Gilded Rebel | Necklace with Pendant

Gilded Rebel brings us a “strong” stamped pendant with a rose quartz bead that will be on an 18″ cord necklace. The end of the cord does have a sizing chain to shorten or lengthen depending on your preference.

Kathleen & Co | Shine On

Shine On is a baby pink almost pearl like crelly base with strong gold shimmer and holo microglitters sprinkled in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Lollipop Posse | All Doors Are Open

All Doors Are Open is a magenta berry jelly base packed with pink to green to gold shifting ultra chameleon chrome flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

There will be a mild texture due to flake content, so you may need 2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish.

LynBDesigns | Tata For Now

Tata For Now is a pale silvery pink base with pink to blue to purple shifting shimmer and holo micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The base is sheer for this one, and it relies on the shimmer reflection and holo micro flakes to build the opacity. It is possibly you might have a bit of VNL visible. However – this would also be good as a topper.

Music City Beauty | Perfect

Perfect is a full coverage microglitter with a mix of pink galaxy holo micro glitters, silver holo microglitters and bright pink holo microglitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Dries with a texture, will most likely need 2 coats of top coat to smooth over.

Keep Calm & Fight On is a bubble gum pink crelly base loaded with copper shimmer, scattered holo and small iridescent glitters, as well as holo glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Fighter is a slate grey linear holographic with strong pink to gold shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Check Yourself is a bright fuchsia pink jelly base with hot pink micro flakes, silver holo micro glitters and pink ot gold to blue to green shifting iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Love. Life. Hope. is a blackened magenta crelly base with pink metallic glitters, blue and pink shimmer, as well as teal glass flecks and pink galaxy holo glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Dries down with a mild texture, may need 2 coats of top coat to smooth.

Quixotic | Now, More Than Ever

Now, More Than Ever is a vivid pink crelly base loaded with pink to gold to green shifting iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Love You Through It is a dusty white crelly base with rose pink and gold metallic flakes, as well as micro gold holo glitters and scattered holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The Soapy Chef | Pink Ribbon Trinket Tray

The Soapy Chef brings us this cute trinket tray! It is made with epoxy resin, alcohol ink and resin pigment, shimmer and metallic ribbon confetti. Super cute and can be used for multiple things.

Giving Up is NOT An Option! is a violet-mauve pink linear holographic with rose gold shimmer and gold flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Under A Hula Moon | Shine Wax Melt

Shine Wax Melt is an orange leaning coral colored wax block with scent notes of bergamot, grapefruit and orange blended with notes of fresh laundry dried on a beach breeze. This is a really lovely scent and the grapefruit and fresh laundry are the notes that immediately hit me.

The theme for Shine is a song by Collective Soul that is based upon spiritual journey through tough times.

$25 from each full type of box (Full or Polish Only full Box) will be donated and I believe $1.50 from each individual polish will be donated, and 10% of all none polish items will be donated.
