Press Sample of the BravesDiva Polish
Ballpark Treats Opening Day Collaboration Box
I have an incredible box to share with you today! This actually launched yesterday – but a series of illnesses swept through our home over the last 2 weeks and things got crazy. However, I’m only a day late in posting and you can still grab this box! We’re going to be looking at the BravesDiva Polish Ballpark Treats Opening Day Collaboration Box.
I found out about this box back in November, and I have been so excited to see it in person – and it didn’t disappoint. It is jam packed with goodies. We’ve got a polish, a sparkly topper, scented top coat, lip balm, acetone additive, peel off base coat/cuticle cover, 10 different wax melts, cuticle oil … just the works!
The entire box is inspired by baseball and baseball treats. From the colors to the scents – it all ties in somewhere. But the products are top notch and work even if you aren’t a big fan of baseball (just don’t tell BravesDiva, she might fall over)
Let’s jump into the box!
BravesDiva Polish | Yakyū
Yakyū means ‘baseball’ in Japanese, and this is a cobalt blue creme that borders on a crelly like formula. It has good opacity but still looks slightly squishy. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos, but if you generally do thin coats – you might need 3. I didn’t experience staining with this shade either.
BravesDiva Polish | Hoshi
Hoshi means “stars” in Japanese, and this is a holo microglitter top coat. I used 1 coat over Yakyū for these photos.
Lilly Anne’s Garden | Rainbow Sherbet Cuticle Oil
Rainbow Sherbet is one of my all time favorite scents (and treats) so I was really excited to see this in a cuticle oil! In this box you’ll receive a 5 ml rollerball cuticle oil. It smells just like Rainbow Sherbet with the fruity tang and the vanilla smoothness. Plus if you’ve used Lilly Anne’s Garden products before, you know they work wonders on the cuticles. The size is also perfect for on the go.
Lilly Anne’s Garden | Raspberry Lemonade Lip Balm
I got to use this 3 times before my son snatched it from me. He has a lip balm/chapstick obsession.
Lilly Anne’s Garden Raspberry Lemonade Lip Balm has a mellow scent and flavor, and I pick up more of the raspberry than the lemonade in it, but you do get a subtle tangyness from the lemonade portion. It’s subtle, but it’s there.
The lip balm itself has a nice, thicker formula so it coats and softens really nicely – even if you only get to use it 3 times. Now that I know these exist, I’ll be picking more up from her shop for both me and my thieving minion.
Purple Willow Apothecary | Peach Sweet Tea Top Coat
This is the first time I can think of that I’ve used Purple Willow Apothecary Top Coat.. and it won’t be the last. I really loved this formula and the dry time was within a few minutes.
The formula itself is thinner than a lot of quick dry style top coats I’ve used so it feels like I’m applying a normal top coat, and I get a super glossy finish. I used it over Yakyū in the first set of photos.
The one for this box is scented as Peach Sweet Tea and it is a fairly mellow scent that does last a decent amount of time (3 days was my wear time on my non photo hand) and the scent lingered until I removed it.
Ribbits Stickits | BravesDiva Chew Glass Frog
Ribbits Stickits Glass Frog 2-in-1 Peel Off Base Coat & Cuticle Cover is exactly that – it’s a latex based product that can act as a peel off base coat or as a cuticle cover for nail art or for cleaner polishing.
For my preference, it’s thicker than most peel off base coats I use, so I prefer not to use it as that. It does work well though if you like them on the thicker side. Purely preference. I do love it as a cuticle cover for nail art though. It coats nice and thick and peels off clean and easy.
For this box it’s scented like bubblegum! Like the Big Chew bubblegum, to be more specific.
Ribbits Stickits | Mini Acetone Additive in Caramel Popcorn
One of my favorite products ever. I have a drawer full of Acetone Additives and I had no idea Ribbits Stickits had it! This one is scented like caramel popcorn and it’s salty and sweet and pure deliciousness.
Usually I add a full vial to about 10 oz of acetone, since this is a mini size, I cut the amount of acetone in half.
If you haven’t used Acetone Additive before – it’s a small vial of oils and nail goodness that you add to acetone so that it cuts down the harshness. Ever notice that drying, white look to your skin after using acetone? This counteracts that.
L3 Waxy Wonders | 10 PIece Wax Sampler
This is like the mother lode of goodies and partially why my review is a day late. I wanted to be able to melt each scent so I had an idea of dry scent and melted scent, because they do differ.
This is my first time trying L3 Waxy Wonders, and after this sampler – I’m going to be buying more. Each melt had an incredible throw and they were all well received by everyone in the house.
While I’ll be describing these to the best of my abilities, I am still on the newer side of melting wax and I don’t have a ton of experience with it. Also keep in mind that noses pick up different things, so what I smell may be a little different to someone else.
All 10 melts come in the cutest baseball themed shapes – we have a catchers glove, a ball, a ball cap and flat disk like ones with a Braves ball and ball cap set.
Yuzu is a Japanese citrus fruit. I’ve never smelled one before, but on dry sniff this has a strong, almost spicy, grapefruit type citrus scent. To be 100% honest, I was iffy on melting it because on dry sniff, it was my least favorite. When melted though – oh my. There was still a spice kick to it, but the grapefruit-like citrus scent mellowed a tad and it was fairly soothing.
I would actually buy more of just this one for the home when people are coming over.
Strawberry Vanilla Ice Cream is exactly that. On dry sniff it smelled like dehydrated strawberries and I barely detected any vanilla. When melted though? Oh my. It leans more girly and it is the type of scent I gravitate towards for body creams. Delicious, fruity and smooth.
Salty Sea Air Fresh Cut Grass is one of those scents that just about everyone can enjoy. On dry sniff, more of the Salty Sea Air type scent is detected. Clean ocean goodness with a slight bite. When melted it the fresh cut grass scent mingles more, but the salty sea air notes are stronger still. This is Nick’s top pick from the sampler.
If you like fresh, clean, outdoorsy scents – this is perfect for you.
Matcha is powdered green tea leaves, dissolved in hot water to make tea or used as a flavoring. We actually have it here because Nick drinks it.
On dry sniff, this is a green tea, herbally scent. When melted it smells exactly like the hot drink (when dissolved in hot water) and poor Nick thought I made him some.
If you don’t know what the hot drink smells like, it’s green, fresh and herbaceous.
Funnel Cakes with Raspberry Sauce is incredible for those who love bakery scents! On dry sniff, I can smell a lot of raspberry sauce with a bit of flaky pastry. Once melted though, a little more sugary sweetness comes out with the raspberry scent and pastry. It’s delicious and got me craving baked goods. The raspberry scent is the dominant scent throughout though.
Next up is my son’s top pick from the sampler! Cracker Jacks! Apparently I’m a bad mom, as my son has never had Cracker Jacks (I really thought he had, but apparently I kept them from him) so before I melted it, I gave him the baggie of cracker jacks that came in the box.
On dry sniff, this didn’t smell like cracker jacks to me. It smelled like caramel but not very sweet. Once melted though, I could smell the sweet and salty popcorn snack, with a tiny bit of peanut.
Cotton Candy is the sweetest scent in the bag (which is to be expected) and on dry sniff, it smells like shoving your nose into a giant bag of cotton candy (which I wouldn’t mind doing cause.. I love sugar.) When melted it does mellow out and it’s not a super sweet scent, but smells like the air around a cotton candy machine.
Cola is pretty easy to imagine, and this is a dead on replica of the scent. On dry sniff, this smells just like the syrup used to make cola. If you’ve ever changed out the syrup in a soda machine – you know this sticky sweet scent. Once melted, it smells like cola throughout the house. Like you have a cup of it right under your nose. It does lean more syrupy than diluted soda though, which is intentional.
Churros is another bakery scent, and one I absolutely loved. On dry sniff, I can detect the pastry scent with a kick of cinnamon and sugar. The fried pastry scent is strongest on dry sniff. When melted though, the cinnamon is actually the power player and the fried pastry scent takes a slight backseat to it, but doesn’t get swallowed by the cinnamon. It’s a good mix.
The final wax in the sampler is Buttermilk Waffles and Blueberry Syrup! On dry sniff, I smell waffles and a tiny bit of dried blueberries, and a bit of syrup. When melted, it smelled like breakfast was being prepared in our kitchen, and again – it disappointed Nick cause he thought I made breakfast.
I didn’t. I can whip him up some cereal though.
This is a delicious blueberry waffle scent drenched in syrup. The scent name is Buttermilk Waffles and Blueberry Syrup, but when melted, it reminds me more of blueberry waffles and syrup. There is a difference, but it’s a slight one. Either way – it’s delicious and perfect if you want to trick people into getting up thinking you made them breakfast.

Disappointed to find my fave item wasn’t actually part of the package: where is the jeweled box from?
I bought the acrylic tray from Sephora months ago
Thank you, I’ll try tracking it down, appreciate it!
