This has been another one of those weeks. My son dropped his phone and I’ve been trying to replace it all week, but there has been a hurdle at every point in doing so. On top of that, I somehow discovered this morning that we have a small orange tree in our backyard.

I texted Nick cause I was baffled… and apparently we’ve had it for 9 years.

There’s a lot more to the story, but I’m 99% sure Nick was sitting at work like “what is wrong with her?” while shaking his head.

Anyways… tonight I’m sharing the Bluebird Lacquer Rainbro Lites Collection which releases tomorrow!

This is a 6 piece collection of bright cremes that have a pastel like quality to them. Like a muted bright shade. They are hard to describe – but yes, pastel brights.

Yes I know, pastels aren’t usually referred to as bright – but these are fairly vibrant with the pastel milkiness to them. So brighter than a usual pastel, but more muted than a standard creme.

I even water marbled with them! I don’t know when I last water marbled, so this was exciting. I couldn’t remember where any of my water marble stuff was (I had a special cup and metal tool for it.. ) so I used a Starbucks tall cup and a meat skewer to do this. Photos at the end of the post if you want to see my handy dandy water marble work.

Bluebird Lacquer | Brosé All Day

Brosé All Day is a vibrant bubblegum pink pastel creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bluebird Lacquer | Brollercoaster

Brollercoaster is a vibrant mint pastel creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bluebird Lacquer | Brocial Media

Brocial Media is a medium pastel lavender creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bluebird Lacquer | Say It Ain’t Bro

Say It Ain’t Bro is a pastel canary yellow creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bluebird Lacquer | Stick With The Brogram

Stick With The Brogram is a bright sky blue pastel. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bluebird Lacquer | True Bromance

True Bromance is a pastel apricot orange creme. It’s not as bright as my photos show, it does have a more milky appearance in person. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bluebird Lacquer Pastel Rainbros Water Marble

I used all 6 shades for this water marble and they worked beautifully. They spread easily in the room temp water.

Then I used Grasses Out Glasses Out iridescent fleck top coat and Nothing Else Matters matte top coat from Bluebird Lacquer.

I do refer to these as pastels, and when you see them in person – you’ll understand why. They do have that milkiness that pastels have and a subdued kind of look to them. However, they do lean on the brighter side. I wouldn’t say pastel neons by any stretch – but they are brighter and more vibrant than typical pastels.

They do not act like some pastels though. They don’t apply chalky or uneven. Even the yellow behaved quite nicely. I only needed 2 coats for full opacity on all 6 shades. They have an incredibly opaque, creamy texture that makes them ideal for water marbling and stamping.
