On August 24th Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer will be releasing the Leave The Sun Behind Me Collection as well as this months Siren shade – Siren’s Mint Smash! I have all 7 shades to share with you today!
Leave the Sun Behind Me Collection consists of six neon shades inspired by the film the Darjeeling Limited, but one of those shades will be limited edition since the flakes used within it have been discontinued.
Let’s take a look!
Limited Edition: 40/41
Limited Edition: 40/41 is a neon teal with cobalt Nfu Oh style flakes within it. This was a difficult color to capture and is a little darker and a little brighter than these photos show. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
The flakes within this polish have been discontinued, so this shade will only be available during the initial release and in a limited quantity.
Thanks For Using Me
Thanks For Using Me is a neon green with gold to green to blue shifting shimmer. The shimmer is gorgeous, but because the base is so vibrant I couldn’t capture it well. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Look At These @#$holes
Look At These A@#$holes is a fluorescent red with pink shimmery glass flecks mixed in. My photos are leaning more orange than it really is. Yay neons messing with my camera. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat.
Stop Involving Me!
Stop Involving Me! is a neon yellow with copper shimmer and gold glass flecks. The shimmer and flecks are incredibly subtle within this polish, but still visible. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
It’s In The Itinerary
This Summer you probably saw at least 70 (most likely more) neon shades on my blog. This shade is unique to my collection. This is a bright purple jelly with blue to magenta to teal to gold ultrachrome flakies. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade kinda makes me want more neons with these types of flakes within it.
Rubby
Rubby is a neon pink with red shimmers and a strong red shift. Another difficult color to capture and it’s actually a smidgen darker in person. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Siren’s Mint Smash
Siren’s Mint Smash is the monthly Siren shade and it’s a gorgeous one! This is a minty aqua blue crelly with gold to green to blue shifting grass flecks. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
As with most Siren shades, this is limited so don’t miss out.
Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer Leave the Sun Behind Me Collection and Siren’s Mint Smash Overview
So I know a lot are probably over the whole neon thing since we’re moving into Fall, but I’m still not. I’m over photographing them… but not wearing them by any means. Please make sure you read the descriptions I typed out though because not all of my photos are 100% color accurate and I did say which were darker, brighter, etc under each photo. If you are limited on funds right now – I do suggest grabbing 40/41 and It’s In The Itinerary because they are unique to my neons collection and are quite stunning… and of course – grab the Siren.

Everything looks stunning, as always!! I had a difficult time photographing the red/coral and teal as well. I love neons, but they drive my camera bonkers! Thank you so much for the lovely review!
