Happy Sunday! I was going to do this post yesterday – but then I took a nap… and a lot of things didn’t happen. But I’m up now and ready to post. We’re going to be looking at the Bee’s Knees Lacquer These Hollow Vows Collection & Girly Bits Duo!

Altogether there are 12 new polishes releasing, however the Girly Bits Duo I think will only be on the Girly Bits Cosmetics site.

There will be no mystery bags this month, but there will be over-pours of Six Crimson Cranes mysteries that will be listed individually for you to purchase. Since they are over-pours, if there’s a particular one you wanted – be there early or it might sell out.

Okay so these will be available from 8/26 at 7pm EDT through 9/1 at 11:59 pm EDT. Two of these polishes are capped due to UP being used, so if you buy the full collection – it will only include the uncapped polishes (8 polishes) and you have to add on the last 2 for a complete set.

Let’s jump in and take a look. I’m a little earlier than usual this month (go me) so it’s not the day before or day of launch!

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Nothing in Faerie is Coincidence

Nothing In Faerie Is Coincidence is a vibrant sky blue jelly base with large particle pastel multichrome shimmer mixed in that shifts pink to gold to green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Because of this type of shimmer, you may see some speckles of pigment.

The jelly base is on the sheer side, so you may see VNL through the polish.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Magic Is Life

Magic Is Life is a sheer jade green jelly base loaded with large particle shimmer pigment that shifts pink to gold to green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

You may see some speckles of pigment in this one due to the type of shimmer used.

Base is sheer- may see VNL through as well.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | A Hopeless Heart

A Hopeless Heart is a bright pink jelly base loaded with large particle pastel multichrome shimmer that shifts pink to gold to green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Due to the shimmer used, you may see small speckles of pigment.

The jelly base is sheer – you may see VNL through as well.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | The Fire Girl

The Fire Girl is a red sibling to ‘Lion With A Thorn In It’s Paw’ and this is a orange leaning red jelly base with strong orange to gold to green shimmer and holo flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

On me, this polish is more of an orange red, and against my skintone – I would classify it more as an orange sibling, but it does sort of sit right in between for me. In some light it leans more red, others more orange. But in my honest opinion… if I were sorting my polishes by color, this would land in an orange pile for me.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Make No Bargains or Ties with The Silver Eyes

Another sibling to ‘Lion With A Thorn In Its Paw’ and this time – we went grey! Make No Bargains or Ties With The Silver Eyes is a lavender tinged grey crelly base with orange to gold to green shimmer and holo flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | There’s A Cost

There’s A Cost is a soft, sheer violet jelly base loaded with red to gold to green shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

While the base is sheer – the shimmer packed in made it opaque in 3 coats.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Crown of Starlight (Magnetic)

Crown of Starlight is a black to red jelly based multichrome with holographic magnetic pigment. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I only magnetized 2 nails so you can see it both ways.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Pretend You Like Me

Pretend You Like Me is a difficult one to photograph. The base is a soft and sheer green and it is packed with blue to purple shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

In person, a little more green does come out. Due to the base color – small speckles of pigment may appear – and you can actually see a couple speckles in my photos (on index nail)

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | There’s My Grumpy Shadow Princess (Capped at 600)

There’s My Grumpy Princess is a deep grape purple jelly base loaded with green to blue sibling unicorn pee pigment and black reflective glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Due to the base color – this may cause some staining, and I can confirm that even with a latex base coat – my gel nails were purple tinged when I removed.

This polish is capped at 600 and will not be in the “full set” if you purchase the full collection. You will need to add this one individually.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Every Star In The Sky Shines For You (Capped at 400)

Every Star In The Sky Shines For You is a slightly golden mustard yellow jelly base with green to blue sibling unicorn pee pigment and silver light reflective glitter. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This polish is capped at 400 and will not be in the “full set” if you purchase the full collection. You will need to add this one individually.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | My Heart Is In Your Hands (Girly Bits Cosmetics Duo)

Here is the first half of the Girly Bits Duo! This is a sister polish to Celestina and it’s a super pale grey (almost white) with glowy purple to red shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Curses Are Made Of Secrets and Sacrifice is a rich purple jelly base loaded with glowy purple to blue shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

My photos are pulling very blue – but it’s much more purple in person so be sure to look at a variety of photos for this polish.

Everything had a wonderful formula and my top picks are Nothing In Faerie is Coincidence, There’s a Cost, Crown of Starlight and There’s My Grumpy Shadow Princess.

Now.. There’s My Grumpy Shadow Princess… the label says Princess and the info email says Prince, so I’m getting clarification on which is correct. I’m leaning towards the label but just in case you see Prince on the listing… it’s the same polish.
