Bee’s Knees Lacquer | The Craft Collection

Happy Thursday! It’s been a super busy week – lots of collabs this month PLUS.. we bought Jacob a car which took a lot of time to do the RMV run and dealership etc. Now things are calming down so I’m pumping out content… hopefully. I have a lot to share.

First up this weekend (Thursdays are my ‘Fridays’) is the Bee’s Knees Lacquer The Craft Collection!

If you want to see these swatched on YouTube – my video is up and linked below!

For the fine details, I do use Apres Gel X Nails in Extra Short Stiletto which are clear nails. I do not use blurring base coats (unless I’m reviewing them) or anything to increase opacity of the nails – and it shows during my YouTube videos especially. With the clear nails, if you can see through the tip still – then odds are you will also see VNL through the polish I have on. If you cannot see through them, then opacity was likely reached.

I work during the day in a medical office, and on weekends I enjoy day time shenanigans with my son – so most of my swatching is done at night in studio lighting. I also use a fairly basic, older point and shoot camera (Nikon L830) and I don’t do any fun frills to be fancy.

A few things about this launch:

This new collection is inspired by the movie The Craft! The Craft released at the end of my 8th grade year and was basically a go-to movie throughout high school for a lot of us.

There will be a full collection option this month and customers will receive a 15% discount if they decide to purchase the entire thing. There will also be a few freebies that BKL strongly considered making part of the collection.

There will not be any limits on the number of polishes customers can purchase from the collection.

Overpours from the Serpent and the Wings of Night collection will also be available.

Ready to jump in? Let’s go!

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Three Times Three

Three Times Three is the sheerest polish in the collection. This is a sheer grungy brown base with glowy violet shimmer. I used 3 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | I Invoke Thee

I Invoke Thee is a muted grape jelly base with glowy blue shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

If you have a strong VNL, it will likely show through on this a bit.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | North

North is a pale grey crelly base with purple to reddish shimmer and holo flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | South

South is a deep mahogany brown jelly base with blue to violet shifting shimmer and holo flakes packed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is my favorite of the collection. I love glowy shimmers with brown bases.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | East

East is a black jelly base with purple to red shifting shimmer and packed with holo flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | West

West is a blackberry red jelly base loaded with glowy blue shimmer and packed with holo flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | We Are The Weirdos, Mister

We Are The Weirdos, Mister is a black jelly base loaded with silvery green to bronzy orange shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Bad Manners

Bad Manners is a vibrant purple to magenta to gold to green shifting multichrome. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is sort of sheer and your VNL may show through.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | It’s Only Magic

It’s Only Magic is a light-medium greyed out green crelly base with bright green to turquoise shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Binding

Binding is a mid-toned grey with slight lavender tones and green to blue to purple shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Manon

Manon is described as a redwood Lion cousin, not 100% sure what that means – but it looks like a super sheer greyish blue jelly base loaded with green to blue shimmer, holo flakes and electric blue magnetic shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Perfect Love

Perfect Love is a blush grey jelly base with glowy pink to purple shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | The Craft Collection

The Craft came out at the end of my junior high days (as I mentioned at the beginning of this post) so throughout high school – this was watched a lot. Plus my oldest sister was obsessed with all things to do with witchcraft and such.
