Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Rainbow Connection UK Customs (RCUK Customs)

I was going to do a big Bee’s Knees Lacquer post for June releases, but I decided to split them up so there was less confusion. Mainly because these upcoming polishes will be sold in the Rainbow Connection UK shop – but don’t fret US folks – you’ll be able to snag some too. We are talking about the Bee’s Knees Lacquer Rainbow Connection UK Customs (or RCUK Customs) for June 2022!

Okay so I’m going to try to explain how this will work and hopefully I don’t muck it up too much. I’ve been on the floor sorting polishes to do a blog sale and had a moment of panic that I couldn’t get back up and… I’m tired and sore (it took about 9 hours total)

So both of these polishes will be available in the Rainbow Connection UK shop starting June 24th, but I’m assuming it’s a preorder like everything else. If you are in the US and wish to purchase, RCUK will ship to the US, however – they encourage group buys due to fees. A member of the Bee’s Knees Buzz FB group is starting up a group buy – so check out this link to get in on that action.

If you are in Canada, RCUK cannot ship to Canada so Bee’s Knees will handle distribution to Canada. Canadian customers will arrange your orders with RCUK but the orders will ship from Bee’s Knees.

Make sense? Good.

I know it can be confusing but honestly – I’m just glad they found a way for others to purchase in some way.

Okay – moving right along. Both of these customs were inspired by some of BKL’s favorite moments around the workshop – and these are exclusive to RCUK – so you won’t see them respawned on the BKL site.

Let’s jump in.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Suspish

As I was swatching – I was watching Bailey Sarian and then I was saving photos and saw the name and realized the inspo.

Suspish is inspired by one of BKL’s favorite people to listen to when in the workshop! Suspish is a sheer greyish blue jelly base loaded with vibrant blue shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade could be a topper – the base is that sheer. If you have a strong VNL, it will show through unless you use a blurring base coat.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | RIP Bulbasaur

RIP Bulbasaur is inspired by the time BKL bought a Halloween Bulbasaur to decorate the workshop with, only for it to fall off the table 5 minutes later and break. This is a sorta sheer, murky greenish teal jelly base with black to blue multichrome flakes. I used 3 thin flakes and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This reminds me a lot of a greenish teal based version of Poor Unfortunate Souls from the April Fandom Flakies Box. The flakes seem to be the same and the base is a little less sheer than PUS (Hmm maybe not the best but we’re gonna roll with it) but same idea.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Rainbow Connection UK Customs (RCUK Customs)

I’m going to bring order info down here to reiterate it for those who skimmed the beginning.

All orders will go through RCUK no matter where you are located.

If you are in the US – you can purchase solo, but RCUK prefers for a group buy due to fees. There is a group buy being organized by a member of the BKL group. You can find that post HERE.

If you are in Canada – arrange your order through RCUK and BKL will ship to you since RCUK cannot.

Price: $12.00 Suspish | $13.50 RIP Bulbasaur

Where To Buy: Rainbow Connection UK

Release Date: June 24th 7pm EDT – July 1st 11:59 EDT (I don’t know if the times will be the same used for RCUK – this was all info I had for BKL)

I’m like, hmm what can I destash to justify the cost and snag these? £13.50 = $16.44. I love polish, but I’m not sure I love it that much.
