Happy Thursday! I have been trying to get some posts flowing, but we were busy celebrating a bit… because Jacob took his road test to get his driver’s license and he passed! So, now that we celebrated a bit on his new achievement – it’s time for posts. Today I’ll be sharing the Bee’s Knees Lacquer Once Upon A Broken Heart Collection!

This collection is set to drop on February 16th at 7pm Eastern. To see it all swatched – you can check out my YouTube channel below:

Okay so with this launch there are mystery bags again – I will have 2 of the mysteries (one bag’s worth) in another post as a spoiler. The mystery bags will be limited to 1 mystery bag per person.

There will not be limits to how many of each polish a customer can buy at this point for the collection, however the mystery bags will be limited to one bag per person.

Preorder will run between 2/16 at 7pm EST to 2/23 at 11:59pm EST and there is a hard cap of 1000 redy to shop polishes. This launch is happening in the middle of the Lunar New Year shutdown, so it will be next to impossible to get supplies until March.

Overpours from the Divine Rivals mystery bags and Buzzmas items will be available this launch as well. I do have the Divine Rivals (some Paid PR and the rest I bought) and if I get a free moment, I will try to post those up.

I think that’s all the main stuff for this launch… so let’s get into swatches!

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Hope Is A Difficult Thing To Kill

Hope Is A Difficult Thing To Kill is a soft grey crelly base with strong purple to pink shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is a sheerer leaning crelly – so if you have a strong VNL it will most likely peek through.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Little Fox

Little Fox is a rose goldish pink jelly base with strong gold to green shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The shimmer load in this one does overpower the base, especially as you approach 3 coats. If you don’t mind VNL and wanna see a little of that jelly action – lessen to 2 coats and you’ll get more of the pinkish toned base.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Prince of Hearts

Prince of Hearts is a blackened multichrome that shifts deep indigo to red to gold. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Poisoned Fairy Fruit

Poisoned Fruit Fairy is a clear base loaded with strong blue shimmer with a slight violet shift and a scattering of silver reflective glitter. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is a sheer polish and a sibling to Lemon. I don’t think the shimmer gets as much coverage in this one as Lemon did, but it’s a nice glowy shade. Can also double as a topper (as shown in my video over black)

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Heartbreak

Heartbreak is a sky blue leaning periwinkle pastel multichrome that shifts from emerald to aqua with sparkles of pink and silver reflective glitter. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | The Archer’s Curse

The Archer’s Curse is a sky blue pastel multichrome with pink to gold to green shimmer and silver reflective glitter. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | One True Love

One True Love is a medium greige crelly base loaded with red to orange to gold shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Welcome To The Best Day Of Your Life

Welcome To The Best Day Of Your Life is a purple Lion sibling. This is an amethyst jelly base loaded with red to orange to green shimmer and holo flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade is similar to In Good Spirits but a bit darker.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | I Forgot To Breathe

I Forgot To Breathe is an orchid purple jelly base with strong gold to green to blue shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade is on the sheer side and if you have strong VNL it will likely show through. The shimmer does add to opacity quite a bit so the more coats, the more the shimmer overtakes the jelly base.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Once Upon A Broken Heart

Overall, I do like this release as a Winter to Spring transitional type set. I had no issues with application on any of the shades.
