I have some new Bee’s Knees Lacquer to share tonight, and they will be on the Color4Nails site March 10th! We’re going to take a look at Bee’s Knees Lacquer Assassin’s Creed Origins Trio & March COTM Duo!
I’m still fairly new to Bee’s Knees Lacquer, but from what I’ve used – I’ve been impressed. I’ve heard about the brand since it pretty much released, but hadn’t actually grabbed any. After trying the Color4Nails Exclusive Duo, I ended up grabbing their Polish Pickup shade for this month. When my funds have recovered a bit from my son’s birthday shenanigans – I’ll definitely be grabbing more.
Today we’re looking at the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Trio as well as the March COTM Duo. From my understanding there’s usually only 1 COTM shade, but 2 inspiration photos tied for first place in the Bee’s Knees facebook group, so they decided to do a duo for March.
As usual, you can use my affiliate code CSant10 in the Color4Nails shop to save 10% on your order. This code is good for everything except Colors by Llarowe polishes – so have at it with the Bee’s Knees Lacquer!
Ready to take a look? We’ll start with the Assassin’s Creed Origins Trio then finish up with the COTM Duo!
Mistress Of Dread
Mistress Of Dread is a medium golden yellow linear holographic. The holo is rather strong, my lighting just likes to lessen the effect. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Lord Of Graves
Now fair warning – some of these polishes have a lot going on, so I’m going to try to get all the elements.
Lord of Graves is a deep purple crelly base that is absolutely packed with gold and coppery shimmer with a green shift, as well as densely packed scattered holo. The base color is harder to see, but when I looked at different angles, the deep purple definitely came through a bit.
I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Pointed Of Teeth
Pointed Of Teeth is a dusty, slightly minty turquoise creme base with a linear holographic effect. There also looks to be a subtle gold shimmer as well.
I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Now onto the COTM Duo! These shades (I believe) are only available for March since a new COTM shade will be coming in April.
You So Slick
You So Slick is a black jelly based shade with iridescent flakes in all the colors of the rainbow mixed in. The flakes really pop against the deep base, but don’t overwhelm. It’s quite mesmerizing. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Blorange
I saved my favorite for last. If you can only grab ONE shade from this post – make this one it. You won’t regret it.
Blorange is a medium navy blue jelly base with orange to green shimmer and iridescent flecks that shift blue to teal. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. I probably could have stopped at 2, but I added the third coat for depth. Then I wiggled my fingers around for awhile staring.
Bee’s Knees Lacquer Assassin’s Creed Origins Trio & March COTM Duo
All 5 of these shades applied nicely and looked beautiful on me. The 2 that really grabbed me were Blorange and Lord of Graves, so those are my top 2 picks.
