AHS: Red Tide Collection

There’s a new Bee’s Knees Lacquer collection that just released – and it’s the AHS: Red Tide Collection!

This is a 9 piece collection inspired by the American Horror Story: Red Tide season. These are mostly deeper, vampier shades, but there are a couple lighter shades mixed in.

I had a couple clear favorites for this set, so we’ll take a look at that soon.

I do want to mention that the maker does offer compensation for swatchers, I have declined it though which is why my post is not marked as paid PR. I have been questioned about that previously – and that’s why. If I accept compensation in the future – I will mark those posts as such.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Cape Fear

Cape Fear is a pastel blue to purple multichrome base loaded with dark gold holo microglitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shades dries with a slight texture, but I only needed 1 coat of top coat for a smooth finish.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Red Tide

Red Tide is hands down the best shade in the collection. If you can only pick up ONE polish this round – this should be it.

Red Tide is a deep turquoise jelly base loaded with pink to green to bronzey gold shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

On first coat this seems really sheer but the shimmer content helps build it up beautifully.

My Muse is a rich, dark brown jelly base with glowy aqua to purple shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Thirst

Thirst is a deep violet jelly base loaded with deep copper to gold shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | The Price of Being The Greatest

The Price of Being The Greatest is a blackened indigo jelly base with deep cobalt blue flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Tell Me About Your Dreams

Tell Me About Your Dreams is.a mid toned magenta leaning purple jelly base with bright blue shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade is a bright brighter in my photos than it will be in real life. Also, if you have a strong VNL – this shade might let that show through.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | To Finding My Destiny

To Finding My Destiny is a deep, cool toned purple jelly base with purple flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | So Much

So Much is a deep olive green jelly base with black to red multichrome shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

My photos do show a ton of the red shift, but in person you will see more of the green along side of it.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | You’re Not Human

You’re Not Human is a burgundy tinted pastel multichrome that shifts green to pink, with black to red multichrome micr flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I love deeper shades for fall and these are so beautifully done. My top picks are: Red Tide, So Much, You’re Not Human and My Muse.
