About 2 weeks ago I posted saying I seriously splurged on the Sephora website, and I finally had some more time to show some more of my purchases! First up today I have the BECCA Light Chaser Highlighters!
The BECCA line released 6 limited edition highlighters for face and eyes. They offer fun shades with color shifts within them, so as you move, the color alters a bit. Some are definitely more obvious than others are – but I personally found all 6 to be incredibly beautiful.
Even the boxes they arrive in are stunning! They are lighter gold holographic boxes. BECCA released Liquid Crystal Glow Glosses with the same type of boxes (don’t worry – I have 5 of those to show you as well!
The compacts themselves fit perfectly in the palm of my hand. They are a shiny gold compact with brushed silver tops. The inside of the compacts contain the highlighter pan as well as a mirror on the top.
I like the two tone look of the compacts and the size is nice and convenient for traveling or popping into your purse without taking too much room. Each compact holds 0.23 oz of product.
Let’s take a look at each compact.
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter in Amethyst Flashes Geode
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter in Amethyst Flashes Geode was the initial highlighter that caught my eye, and initially I was only going to purchase this one. As I flipped through the other shades though, I decided I needed all of them.
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter in Amethyst Flashes Geode is a red toned medium lavender with a blush garnet shift to it. The shift is much more subtle in this shade and it’s become my perfect blush shade if I apply it light handed. It has really good pigmentation, so if I go in too heavy handed, it looks too deep on my lighter skin tone.
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter in Topaz Flashes Gilt
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter in Topaz Flashes Gilt had one of the stronger shifts in the collection. This is a warm gold with a lighter green shift to it. It’s different, but definitely eye catching.
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter in Champagne Dream Flashes Bellini
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter in Champagne Dream Flashes Bellini is probably the most wearable highlighter shade for me. It looks nice as a wash of subtle color on the eye, but also for a nice Summery glow on the cheek bone. The shift is fairly prominent when you move around too, so you get rose flashes.
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter in Champagne Dream Flashes Bellini is a softer neutral peach with a rose gold shift.
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter in Rose Quartz Flashes Seashell
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter in Rose Quartz Flashes Seashell is a soft warm pink with a subtle hot pink shift. Another of my most used from this collection.
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter in Opal Flashes Jade
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter in Opal Flashes Jade I almost didn’t purchase, but it has a very interesting shift and in the end I’m glad I bought it. It is my least used though from the group. This one is a warm gold neutral with a teal shift to it.
Of the 6 shades, this one probably has the most prominent shift.
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter in Pearl Flashes Gold
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighter in Pearl Flashes Gold is the lightest of the 6 highlighters. It’s a pale, pearly gold that has a slightly stronger gold shift to it. Another great eye wash color.
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighters Side by Side Swatches
Here is a look at all 6 shades side by side. These swatches were done on bare skin. From left to right we have:
Champagne Dream Flashes Bellini | Opal Flashes Jade | Rose Quart Flashes Seashell | Topaz Flashes Gilt | Pearl Flashes Gold | Amethyst Flashes Geode
Below are the same swatches under flash, which brings out the shift a tad more.
BECCA Light Chaser Highlighters Overview
Am I happy with my purchase? Absolutely. I’ve always been into the duochrome/multichrome effect products which are found a lot in polish, but not as common in makeup. Most take on more of the iridescent like color shifts, but I like that these offer a wearable base color with shift. The pigmentation and texture of all 6 were really nice as well and I have to use a much lighter hand if I want a wash of color. Too heavy and the pigmentation takes over and it’s fairly strong. Since I usually do my makeup for work, I tend to go lighter. For nights out, I would go in a little heavier, depending on the occasion.
These shades are limited edition so I don’t know how long they will be in production for, but it may not be too long.
My Top Picks: Champagne Dream Flashes Bellini | Rose Quartz Flashes Seashell | Topaz Flashes Gilt | Amethyst Flashes Geode
Price: $34.00 Each
Where To Buy: Sephora | BECCA Cosmetics
I’m hoping to have some of the BECCA Liquid Crystal Glow Glosses up on the blog a bit later, if not tonight then it will be up tomorrow! Stay tuned.

[…] today I posted the BECCA Light Chaser Highlighters for you, and now I have the BECCA Liquid Crystal Glow […]
Splurge is your middle name! Now you make me wanna haul all!!! My birthday is coming up soon so I may cave in after months of no-buy discipline
All the shades are so beautiful.
I want them all , but I can’t, and I don’t know how to narrow it down to one, lol! Your swatches aren’t helping me save money, lol!
I can’t believe how beautiful these are. I wouldn’t wear them on my face since I think I’m too old for that but I’d love these on my eyes. Now I want one (or more) desperately!!
Be still my heart! Opal Flashes Jade is legit the prettiest Becca highlighter I’ve seen.
