Happy Tuesday! In just a few short hours, Beaux Reves Lacquer will have a new release in her shop! This will be the Summer Sunsets Quad… and I have it on the blog today!
The Beaux Reves Lacquer Summer Sunsets Quad is a 4 piece jelly based collection with shimmers and iridescent flakes in stunning sunset shades. You can see these in action on my YouTube channel here:
This quad is inspired by the warm colors of summer and the peaceful sunsets they create. All 4 colors work together cohesively to create a beautiful visual.
These release at 12:00pm today (August 1st) – information for the shop will be at the bottom of this post.

Beaux Reves Lacquer | Glare
Glare is a bright yellow jelly base loaded with red to orange shifting shimmer and iridescent flakes that shift purple to red to gold. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Beaux Reves Lacquer | Afterglow
Afterglow is a vibrant orange jelly base with red to orange shifting shimmer and iridescent flakes that shift purple to red to gold. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This is a thicker consistency polish and I found the best way to apply was a really thin coat to start, then go in with a thicker coat on the second. If thicker consistency isn’t for you – adding a few drops of thinner will get this more to your liking, but may required 3 thin coats in application.
Beaux Reves Lacquer | Ablaze
Ablaze is an fiery red jelly base with red to orange shifting shimmer and iridescent flakes that shift purple to red to gold. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This was the thickest of the 4 consistency wise, and I found a thin coat followed but a thicker coat worked best for application – with long brush strokes and not shorter, choppy ones that may overwork the polish and create bald spots. Thinner may be needed if you aren’t fond of thicker consistencies – but it also may make it so 3 thin coats are needed to get to this opacity.
Beaux Reves Lacquer | Dusk
Dusk is a plummy purple jelly base with red to orange shifting shimmer and iridescent flakes that shift purple to red to gold. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

To just recap – Glare and Dusk applied nicely with a good consistency. Afterglow and Ablaze both were on the thicker side and I found application easiest to do one thin coat and one thick coat. Color payoff and shimmer is stunning on all 4.
