Hawaiian Shaved Ice Collection
I’m home from work and ready to knock out a few blog posts – because we have a whirlwind of incredible stuff releasing over the next week or so. First up tonight is the Baroness X Hawaiian Shaved Ice Collection, which is the Summer 2019 collection from Demi!
This collection consists of 6 shades, all 6 are brighter bases with shimmer and icy white microflakes. Each one is named for various popular Hawaiian Shaved Ice (I’ve been craving one since getting this collection in the mail)
These release on June 15th at noon PST… and let’s jump in and take a closer look at them.
Baroness X | Tiger’s Blood
Tiger’s Blood is a cool toned neon pink with white microflakes, purple shimmer and blue to purple aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Tiger’s Blood is a blend of watermelon, strawberry and coconut at many shaved ice shops.
Baroness X | Guava
Guava is a neon orange with white microflakes, green microflake and turquoise shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Baroness X | Green River
Green River is a neon slime green with white microflake, gold microflake and gold shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This is a lemon-lime flavor at shaved ice shops.
Baroness X | Blue Hawaiian
Blue Hawaiian is a neon teal with white microflake and blue to violet shifting aurora and blue to violet shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This is a slightly deeper shade of teal than my photos show.
Baroness X | Lilikoi
Lilikoi is a bright, cool toned violet jelly base with white microflake and orange to green shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Lilikoi will also come with a sample of Anti Aging Lip Balm in a Lilikoi Rose scent! I included photos of the sample lip balm below. It’s so cute!
Lilikoi is the Hawaiian word for passion fruit
Baroness X | Snowcapped
Snowcapped is a clear based topper full of small to medium sized orange to gold to green shifting hex glitters, as well as white microflakes and a sprinkling of scattered holo. I used 1 coat of Snowcapped over OPI Barre My Soul.
This is what you ask for if you want sweetened condensed milk on top of your shaved ice.
Baroness X | Hawaiian Shaved Ice Collection
These shades are fun, bright and have enough shimmer and flecks to add a little something without competing to be most seen. The elements within the polishes still allow the base color to shine, but also makes them a little more dazzling. Perfect balance.
I had no application with any of these shades, and while I did used 3 thin coats on 5 of them, you can easily get away with 2 medium coats to reach full opacity.
