Another new indie is popping up this September and I’m thrilled to have the chance to work with her! She may be new to the indie brand world, but she isn’t new to the polish community! B Polished is created by The Polished Mommy! Her debut collection is Sunsets & Sandy Beaches and I found the concept for the collection really interesting (you’ll see why in a moment!)
Along with the beautiful 8 shades within the collection, she also has a base coat and an assortment of top coats which I will be showing at the bottom of the post.
In light of recent events – the creator wanted me to include some words to my readers, and I fully support it:
“B Polished was created and tested by Francine Brandow of, The Polished Mommy, a nail polish blog founded over 3 years ago. The Polished Mommy has been recognized as one of the Bloggers You Should Know by Nail It! magazine in 2013. B Polished nail lacquer is, and always will be, 5-Free. This means all of the nail lacquers in the B Polished line contain NO DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate),Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, and Camphor. There is no tampering or alterations made to the raw materials (i.e. base and pigments). Customer safety and satisfaction is the #1 priority, and should a problem ever arise please email Francine at [email protected]. As always… B Colorful. B Fabulous. B Polished.”
Let’s take a look at the shades within the collection. Why do I find the collection interesting? Well – there are 8 polishes total, but within those 8 there are 4 shades as well as textured shades to match! You’ll see what I mean…
Sea You At Sunset
Sea You at Sunset is a gold to green to teal multichrome with gold and green glass flecks. I used 2 coats for these photos – no top coat.
Ocean View
Ocean View is a gold to green to teal multichrome textured polish with gold and green glass flecks. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Tropical Paradise
Tropical Paradise is a fuschia to purple to blue multichrome with purple and blue glass flecks. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Passion At Sundown
Passion at Sundown is a fuschia to purple to blue multichrome textured polish with purple and blue glass flecks. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Ignite the Night
Ignite the Night is a gold to orange to red multichrome with gold and red glass flecks. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Desert Sunset
Desert Sunset is a gold to orange to red multichrome textured polish with gold and red glass flecks. I used 2 coats for these photos.
Midnight in Death Valley
I’m going to tell you a little something about this shade. You. Need. This. It’s a black matte polish. It’s a FLAWLESS black matte polish. Flawless. My jaw dropped. I’ve used it a dozen times now and I need more. I used 2 coats for these photos out of habit, but since these photos – I only use 1 coat cause it’s all that’s needed. One Coat. Perfection. Ugh. Love it.
Sunset on Black Sand Beach
Sunset on Black Sand Beach is a rich black textured polish with a rainbow of glass flecks. I used 3 thin coats for these photos.
Now the extras she will have in her shop at release!
Make It Stick Base Coat
Make it Stick base coat adheres to the nail and creates a smooth, even surface and the sheer violet tint cancels out mild yellowness. Wear alone with top coat or under your favorite polish. This base coat also contains Certified Organic Tea Tree oil.
Make it Shine | Make it Matte | Make it Satin
Here are the 3 main top coats available that are shown above and (in order) here they are:
Make it Shine top coat is a fast drying top coat that will dry polish to the touch in under 5 minutes, while adding a beautiful shine.
Make it Matte effect top coat dries to a flat matte finish without looking chalky. The finish is completely matte with zero shine.
Make it Satin effect top coat dries to a soft sheen finish. The finish appears matte but has a slight reflection of light.
From Left to Right: Make It Satin | Make It Matte | Make It Shine
Bump & Shine
Bump & Shine is a bit different. Bump & Shine top coat is specifically designed to enhance textured polishes. This thin, fast drying top coat seals on textured polishes leaving them with a glossy shine, yet still preserving the textured finish. This top coat DOES NOT smooth out glitters or textures!
I have come across a lot of people who LOVE textures… but want the glitter or flakes within it to sparkle… so they add top coat which eliminates the texture. This doesn’t. Shown is Passion At Sundown with 1 coat of Bump & Shine.
Make It Dry
Make it Dry quick dry setting liquid is the finishing step to any manicure. This liquid creates a protective layer that resists surface smudges and hydrates dry cuticles with jojoba* and coconut oils. Apply 1‐2 drops per nail after top coat. *certified organic
B Polished Sunsets & Sandy Beaches Collection | Nail Treatments Overview
First off – so excited about the B Polished launch and hope to see a lot more from her in the future! Overall – this was a great collection to start with. The textures have an obvious texture but they aren’t overdone and incredibly rough. Not into textures? That’s fine – grab their smooth counterparts! Application was perfect with these and it’s a nice starter set!
Price: $10.oo Each Polish | $70.00 Full Collection | $5.00 Each Treatment | $27.00 Complete Mani Kit (all treatments shown)

I absolutely LOVE that there are 2 versions of each shade here. Only thing I would have loved to see is if the matte black had the same gorgeous sparkly the texture has. The topcoats sound great as well! I love how flat the matte topcoat is.
Love how those 3 top coats look!
I definitely want that violet base coat.
You started with that gorgeous green! I loved your swatch so badly that I barely could see the other colours, sorry!
Oh wow, this brand looks incredible already! I really want to try out the topcoats and quick dry drops!
Totally impressed! The polishes are beautiful and the top coats are amazing. Must have!
Stunning collection. I love to see bloggers venture out into making!
I’m wondering how the wear was with the top coats, especially the shiny one. I really need a new top coat and I’m looking for suggestions. I want something that is safe for stamping and nail art too, and dries fast.
Are you still happy with the top coat? Thanks!
The wear was good for a few days, but I don’t generally wear for more than 3. Unfortunately, I don’t do much nail art so I cannot say how safe it is for stamping and nail art, and the top coat is long used up so I cannot test it.
I know when I did use it, I was happy with it – but I’m more partial to KBShimmer Clearly on Top as well as Girly Bits Glitter Glaze. I like how they perform for what I need – but I can also buy big refill bottles to top off my current bottles when needed.
