Senior Prom Collection

I have a new, sparkle filled collection to share with you tonight! This is the Aurora Nail Lacquer Senior Prom Collection!

This is a 10 piece collection loaded with glitz and glam! I was actually really excited to work on these when I brought them out of the box they arrived in.

“Did you ever take one of those “prom dress style quizzes” when trying to find your perfect dress for prom? Yea, so did we. And AURORA has translated those styles into a collection of beautiful glittery holo stunners that are sure to match whatever prom stress style you decide to rock this season (or perhaps rocked a few years ago!) “

Ready to take a look? Most of these have microglitters – so if you use a thinner top coat, I do suggest you use 2 coats.

Aurora Nail Lacquer | The Valedictorian

The Valedictorian is a light-medium sheer purple shimmer base loaded with purple holographic microglitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Aurora Nail Lacquer | The Cheerleader

The Cheerleader is a bright fuchsia jelly base loaded with fuchsia holographic microglitters and fuchsia shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Aurora Nail Lacquer | The Drama Queen

The Drama Queen is a medium turquoise jelly base with blue, green and turquoise microglitters mixed in, as well as turquoise shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Aurora Nail Lacquer | The Class President

The Class President is a sheer, medium grey base loaded with silver shimmer and silver holographic micro glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Aurora Nail Lacquer | The Rebel

The Rebel is a medium purple sheer jelly base with blue shimmer and blue and purple holographic microglitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Aurora Nail Lacquer | The Diva

The Diva is a sheer chartreuse jelly base with gold shimmer and lime and gold holographic microglitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Aurora Nail Lacquer | The Princess

The Princess is a cool toned, sheer pink jelly base with light pink shimmer and pink holographic microglitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Aurora Nail Lacquer | The Tomboy

The Tomboy is a medium blue sheer jelly base with blue shimmer and blue microglitters mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Aurora Nail Lacquer | The Track Star

The Track Star is a coppery sheer jelly base loaded with copper shimmer and holographic microglitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Aurora Nail Lacquer | The Prom Queen

I saved my favorite for last. The Prom Queen is a multi-colored glitter bomb. The base is clear, and it’s a topper – but I reached darn near full coverage in 2 coats. I actually didn’t read descriptions until after swatching, so I had no idea it was a topper until photos were done.

The holographic microglitters are a mix of silver, grey, red and blue holographic glitters, but the sparkle honestly makes it hard to differentiate the colors involved and there may be more that my eyes just can’t focus on.

Aurora Nail Lacquer | Senior Prom Collection

Truth be told, I miss a good ol’ fashion glitter bomb. Between these and crellies – it really reminds me why I fell in love with indies to begin with. If you can only grab 1 from this collection – The Prom Queen is my hands down favorite. If you can grab more… my top picks are: The Prom Queen, The Rebel, The Track Star and The Valedictorian.

All of these contain microglitters – that means 2 things.

  1. You may need 2 coats of top coat depending on how thin your top coat is. I use Girly Bits Glitter Glaze and it’s on the thicker side – so I only needed 1 coat.
  2. You may need to apply some elbow grease to remove. It’s common with microglitters and should be fairly common knowledge, but just in case – I wanted to say it. There are peel off alternatives as base coats. My suggestion would be Hit The Bottle Keepin’ It Peel (clear version) which will allow you to wear them for a week (possibly longer) and then peel them off.

These all released on May 1st – so they are available in the Aurora Nail Lacquer shop now!

Price: $12.00 Each
