2020 Birthday Collection
A few days ago Anchor & Heart Lacquer released their 2020 Birthday Collection, and I have it on the blog to share now!
The 2020 Birthday collection consists of 2 cremes, 2 shimmers and 2 matte top coats as well as a special scented top coat. Somehow I forgot to photograph the top coat, but I did use it throughout this post (except on the matte shimmer top coats)

Anchor & Heart Lacquer | Jade
Jade is a medium, cool toned jade green creme. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
While this is a solid creme, it has the squishy look of a crelly which I love.
Anchor & Heart Lacquer | Moon Child
Moon Child is a medium, slightly dusty grape purple creme. Like Jade, it has a crelly like squishiness to it. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Anchor & Heart Lacquer | A Beautiful Life
This shade I wasn’t excited about in the bottle, but on the nail – it turned out to be my favorite. It’s a nice neutral with a little pizzaz.
A Beautiful Life is a light coffee creamer beige crelly base with red to green shimmer and iridescent orange to red to green glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Anchor & Heart Lacquer | Virgo Baby
Virgo Baby is a sapphire blue crelly base loaded with teal to purple shimmer, as well as tiny pink, purple and green micro flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Anchor & Heart Lacquer | 11:11
11:11 is a matte topper (if you like Sea Glass matte top coat – same stuff but with shimmer and flecks!) with blue to green large particle shimmer flecks, as well as a rainbow of iridescent shifting flakes. I used 1 coat over a black creme for these photos.
Anchor & Heart Lacquer | Glass Half Full
Glass Half Full is a matte top coat with violet to pink shifting shimmer, as well as iridescent flakes that shift gold to green and orange to gold. I used 1 coat over a black creme.
Anchor & Heart Lacquer | 2020 Birthday Collection
The one item I used but didn’t photograph – the top coat! Ferry Fast topcoat in the scent Satsuma! This is a nostalgic Body Works type scent, think juicy mandarin slices & tangy peel, bergamot, subtle spices and a hint of exotic fruits.
Overall I do enjoy this collection and all the colors are very wearable year round. I really love A Beautiful Life as well as Jade and Moon Child. Those are my top picks – but I really enjoy the matte toppers too.
