I have 4 lovely shades to show you today! Alter Ego Aussie Rock Hound, Curses! Foiled Again, Loves Rock n Roll & Rows Her Boat!
Some of these shades were shown on my blog a few years ago, and since then Alter Ego has changed her base which made these shades even better!
Let’s take a look!
Loves Rock n Roll
For some reason this is one of my favorites from Alter Ego. It’s simple, but I love it. Loves Rock n Roll is a white crelly base with large black matte hearts. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Because the hearts are larger, you might have to fish around for some. I actually removed them from my brush for the first 2 coats and then added them onto the 3rd coat.
Curses! Foiled Again
Curses! Foiled Again is a silver foil finish polish. I used 2 coats and no top coat for these photos.
There are incredibly minor brushstrokes visible, but overall it actually applied really smooth for a foil.
Aussie Rock Hound
Aussie Rock Hound is a medium blue jelly base with silver shreds. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. 2 coats of top coat may be required depending on top coat used.
This is super squishy looking and I love it!
Rows Her Boat
Rows Her Boat is a top pick for me. This is a beautiful blue with strong gold shimmer in an almost foil like finish. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Alter Ego Nail Enamel Overview
I was really happy with all 4 of these shades, and while I had no issues with the previous formulas (they did separate easily, but I never had an issue shaking them back up) these do stay suspended much better. Application was a cinch and I had no issues.
