Adovia Dead Sea Mud Shampoo Review

by Lisa Heath

Disclaimer

Over the last few weeks I have tried a few different Adovia products (and I still have more that I’m testing!) and so far the brand hasn’t let me down.

I was sent the Adovia Dead Sea Mud Shampoo to review.  While I’ve heard of Dead Sea Mud soaps, masks, etc… I hadn’t heard of it in a shampoo form, so I was intrigued.

Adovia’s Dead Sea Mud Shampoo is specially formulated with natural ingredients such as Dead Sea Mud, Chamomile and Olive Oil to bring deep hydration and moisture to the scalp, relieving itching and flakiness.

Initially, I thought it looked a little odd.  Can’t say I’ve ever used a deep silvery grey shampoo before.  It isn’t super thick and doesn’t have a mud consistency if that’s what you were thinking.  It lathers incredibly well and a little goes a long way.  What I was most impressed with was the scent.  I expected a muddy, earthy scent, and while there is definitely a slightly earthy scent, it also has a slightly musky aroma which I liked.  It isn’t overpowering and only lingers while the hair is still wet, then it fades away.

Dead Sea Mud has been known for centuries for it’s healing properties and people travel from all over the world to come and experience it’s effects at the Dead Sea. Dead Sea Mud contains the highest concentration of minerals found in mud anywhere in the world.  These minerals are all essential for proper skin function and help to regulate moisture retention as well as hydration.

I actually have 2 bottles of Adovia Dead Sea Mud Shampoo, and will continue to purchase it when these 2 bottles are gone (one is already almost gone).  My scalp hasn’t been flaking or itchy at all and my hair has been tamer.  I generally follow shampooing up with conditioner, but I have been skipping the conditioner while using Adovia!  Instead I apply a small amount of Argan Oil after my shower and my hair looks great!

Price: $28.00

Have you tried any Dead Sea Mud products?  How about the Adovia brand?  I have a lot more to show you from them in the coming weeks, so be ready!
