A England Princess Tears and St. George Review and Swatches
More Llarowe Purchases! Seriously, I am addicted to her site and have yet to come across a purchase I was disappointed with. Last week she made a post on Facebook that a shipment of A England came in and a polish had spilled in the box and got nail polish on the bottles of 3 different colors she had (she had multiples of each color too) and that if anyone was interested in a great deal on the exterior damaged bottles to email her. Somehow I was quick enough to be one of the lucky people to email first and I got 1 bottle of each for $6.00 a piece. How could I pass up getting 50% off on A England polishes that just had some polish stains on the outer bottle? A few days later I had the 3 gorgeous polishes in my hot little hands. Not only that, Llarowe cleaned the freaking bottles! You can’t even tell they HAD polish spilled on them! SCORE! To be honest, I didn’t even know what 3 colors I was buying but I’m not one to pass up a deal so I looked up swatches after I paid – then I got even more excited about my purchase!
Tonight I decided to swatch Princess Tears and St. George, the third bottle is Elaine and I will swatch that gorgeous lady on another night soon.
A England Princess Tears is an amazing silvered lilac holographic polish. This was so hard to photograph. I kept getting silver looking pictures so I had to keep angling my hand around trying to get the flash of lilac. I finally got some of the lilac to show. It really is a more obvious lilac in person though. The holographic properties in Princess Tears is very subtle. It doesn’t jump out at you, but to me this is a very classy color that can be used at almost any type of gathering without being too much or too little. I used two coats for Princess Tears. The second picture shows the flash of lilac.
The second A England swatch I did tonight was St. George. St. George is a gorgeous teal holographic nail polish. This. Is. Gorgeous. I have seen swatches of this polish all over the place but I seriously did NOT understand just how beautiful it was until I was gliding it onto my nails. Again, the holographic of this is subtle, no linear effect but a nice scattered holo. It’s dark, its sparkly and it isn’t like any other polish I own. I only used two coats of St. George but even on the first coat I could have stopped and slapped a top coat on and have been good to go.
From the two polishes I swatched tonight, I am in love with this brand. Application, formula and color were amazing. I cannot think of ANY complaints regarding them, which is why I already have 2 more in my cart and ready to be purchased.
Princess Tears and St. George are part of A England’s The Legends Collection and retail for $12.00. The bottles are .4 Fl Oz (Opi, Zoya and China Glaze are .5 fl oz) so they are close to normal size.
A England can be found in Llarowes shop at shop.Llarowe.com
**The polishes in this review were purchased by me. All opinions stated are my own.**
