Press Sample of A-England
Poe’s Tale Collection
I had so many posting plans this weekend, but my computer had other ideas for me. Basically, the computer itself is pushing 7 years old and we’ve replaced some components but now it’s just not playing nice. It’s randomly freezing or just randomly restarting – and it’s time for a new one. I saved all my pictures I had on it to dropbox and right now we’re in the process of deciding if I want a new custom built computer or an iMac as my desktop. I did get some swatching in, but aside from that – everything else came to a slight halt while I saved my computer stuff so I don’t lose anything.
This morning I have the A-England Poe’s Tale Collection to share with you and Sisi from Color4Nails sent these over for review.
I will be showing the A-England Poe’s Tale Collection set first, and later today I’ll have the Tales From The Tower collection to share. It’s actually been a bit since I’ve shown A-England on my blog or had a chance to wear it, and I almost forgot how flawless the formula was.
These shades are available on the Color4Nails website for purchase.
A-England | Lenore
Lenore is a deep, cool toned purple scattered holographic. This shade has a glowy, almost blurple sheen. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
A-England | Nevermore
Nevermore is a medium ruby red scattered holographic. The polish is well balanced and the holo effect and the base color don’t overpower each other. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
A-England | Pallas
Pallas is my favorite of the 4. This is a medium, almost gunmetal like silver linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade also stamps beautifully. I used it for the stars in the final photo.
A-England | The Raven
The Raven is a black creme with scattered holo. The scattered holo effect is fairly subtle indoors, but under stronger light or the sun, it comes out more. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
A-England | Poe’s Tale Collection
All 4 shades in this set were pretty much 1 coat polishes. I did 2 each, but they are incredibly well done and have rich pigmentation. I only attempted stamping with Pallas, but I would be willing to bet the others stamp as well.
I will have more A-England on the blog tonight, and Prism Polish should be up tomorrow.

These are gorgeous <3 I got this set and the other new one a few weeks ago. Still untried lol!
a-England is the only brand I own all the polishes – except Sparks Divine Version 2. I got Version 1 when it was first out. I will pick up version 2 at some point lol!
And my old computer, I got 10 years out of it! It died early 2018 and it was still running Vista haha! I am now using the boyfriend's laptop – pretty much stole it ;-)
