Today I have 6 shades from Painted Sabotage to show you. This is my first experience with this particular indie brand, and I really like the color combinations of base and glitter shades I received. Lets take a look at what I got to review!
Gargle Blaster
The Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster was invented by Zaphod Beeblebrox, a major character in Douglas Adams’ novel The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. The effect of a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster is like having your brains smashed out by a slice of lemon, wrapped ’round a large gold brick. It has also been described in the novel as the alcoholic equivalent to a mugging; expensive and bad for the head.
Gargle Blaster is a darker mint green crelly base with silver shimmer and fuchsia, silver and gunmetal square and hex glitters. I used 3 coats for this photo.
Angel Wings
My daughter wanted me to create a polish that had an ethereal feel to it that looked like… well Angel Wings, and that’s how Angel Wings came into creation. She is the genius behind Angel Wings, she was involved in every step to the shade of the lavender to every glitter selected.
Angel Wings is a gorgeous lavender base with holographic microglitter and iridescent glitters in squares and hexes. I used 3 coats for this photo.
Hate Tank
Some of us may not be looking for Prince or Princess charming… Not wanting to set sail on the Love Boat or ride on the Party Train. Then how about climbing into the Hate Tank
Hate Tank is a deep burgundy jelly base with burgundy and red holo glitters, black shred glitter and black hearts. I used 2 coats for this photo. The hearts are a little tough to spot in the photo, but they are there.
The Impossible Girl
For all the Dr Who fans out there feast your eyes on The Impossible Girl aka Souffle Girl! Clara, the latest companion of The Doctor.
The Impossible Girl is a favorite of mine! This is a medium grey base with light grey, black and red glitters mixed in. I used 2 coats for this photo.
Gettin’ Eggy Wit It
Great for those days when you just want to be all warm and toasty and possibly with a glass of Eggnog!
Gettin’ Eggy Wit It is an almond color crelly base with bronze, copper and gold glitter mixed in. I’m not a big neutral shade girl, but I really liked this one! I used 2 coats for this photo
Ice Flowers
Ice Flowers is the perfect snowy winter polish!
Ice Flowers is a light greyish blue base with a hint of shimmer mixed with white and periwinkle hex glitters. I used 3 coats for this photo.
Overview
All 6 of these shades are unique to my collection, which is a plus. I liked the inspiration behind the polishes (which I highlighted in pink under each main photo!) and all of them applied well. I do wish Hate Tank’s black hearts were a little more visible through the burgundy base, but it almost takes on the impression of gore when you see the hearts covered in jelly… so if that’s the case and purpose – it’s actually rather fitting to the name.
My Top Picks: Gargle Blaster, Angel Wings and Gettin Eggy Wit It.
Price: $9.75 Each
